Show Henrieville News By Sarah Rose 679-8777 Many in the community came out to help Marjie Ford celebrate her 80th birthday. Marjie was a long time resident who now lives with her daughter, Mary Elizabeth, in Henderson, Nev. Thor Johnson made a trip to St. George to visit with his brother, Harry Johnson, and to pick up his father, Thorley Johnson. It is good to have Thorley back in town. The Ken Piatt family enjoyed a visit from his parents, George and Thora Piatt of Richfield. George and Thora were in the area attending the funeral for Dewey Moore in Panguitch. It has been rather quiet at the Daniel Rose home. Dan was unable to talk for four days after having surgery on his vocal chords. He is recovering nicely and the doctors seem to think that there will be no long term problems caused by the surgery. Delpha Rose received word that her granddaughter, Jackie Rose of Annabella, was the first place winner in the Sterling Scholar competition. To go along with the honor of the title is a $4,000 scholarship to any of the schools in Utah. Jackie's proud parents are Collin and Laurie Rose. Congratulations on a job well done. The Delano Callahan family made a trip up north to attend a funeral. |
