Show s., A. t Antimony News j By Betty Wiley 624-3215 The Antimony Elementary children had a first hand experience for their Utah History class. Each student brought some dirty clothes from home and learned how laundry used to be done on a washboard. One parent was reported to have offered all their dirty clothes if the class wanted more practice. Clarence and Mona Rae Twitchell traveled to Glen Canyon Dam to watch the water turned through the dam. It must have been a breathtaking experience to watch. The Rockin R Guest Ranch is having their annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 6 at 1 1 a.m. LDS Primary President Holly Westwood reported that they had a Drive-In Movie at the cultural hall. Each child had to make either a car or pickup truck and decorate it. They had the movie "Babe" and arranged their chairs in a semicircle. semi-circle. Then Primary officers acted as waitresses serving pizza, pops and ice cream. The children could choose what they wanted to order. Everyone really enjoyed it. Tuesday evening all the scouts and their leaders, KayMar Willis, Travis Blood and Lynn Kendall went up Antimony Canyon for a cookout and to do some fishing. They cooked steaks and potatoes, etc. Scott and Beth Gleave are back from Salt Lake City. Scott had surgery on Tuesday so they stayed with Ricky and Jamie for a couple of days and then will be home. The LDS Relief Society program and dinner was furnished by Burns Black, Elaine Tebbs, Kim Adams, Darlene Evans and Laura Pierson. Phil Allen and Shannon Allen had bull buyers here on Wednesday from Montana. Gayle Ipson is here from Arizona where she teaches for spring break. She spends as much time as she can here with her father, Neil Ipson who is 86-years-old. Eugene and Valeria King have arrived home from Arkansas where Valeria has been helping daughter, Heidi, with a new baby. Hal and Athalia Jensen spent the weekend in and around Las Vegas with all of their family. Kendall Jensen had a booth in the trade show in Las Vegas. Spending the weekend with their parents, the Burns Black, were Garr and Camille Ovard and family of Salt Lake City and Greg and Cindy Black and children of Orem. |
