Gary and Sandy Johnson had Sandy's cousin Dennis Lifferth and family of Centerville here visiting. Ivan and Inez Winberg of Kearns were at church and visiting in town with relatives. They had not been here in over a year. Bonnie Mecham of Green River was here at Lula Moore's visiting old friends. Visiting at Gary Johnsons were Rachael Johnson of Provo and her friend Anna Patempa. Marshall and Trish Thompson attended church here on Sunday. speakers in LDS Sacrament meeting were Steve Barker and Jed Johnson and Rachel Johnson, Dixie. Thompson and Esther Johnson John-son played a special musical number num-ber on their flutes. Curtis Morten-sen Morten-sen received his Faith in God award. Rosemary Palmer and her three daughters Pauline, Janae and Lindsay Lind-say and their families were here. They stayed in Escalante with Gwen Lyman and also visited in Tropic with Fae and De Var Pollock. Pol-lock. Cliff and Collette Mathews were in Denver, Colo., where Cliff attended at-tended school. They also went to the Denver LDS Temple. Visitors at Jim and Rae Smiths were Barbara and Lance Jaggar, Quintin, Dayne, Tiffany and Chris, Dorothy and Don Barnhurst and daughters Layne and Dayla of Pheonix, Ariz., Jim and Margo, Jared and Riles of Escalante, Dallas and Heather Larson and sons Brandon Bran-don and Cameron of St. George. Logan Marx, Sheldon and Derrick Der-rick Pollock have been helping Ken Goulding move his cattle. It was quite an experience for a city girl but she loved it. Bruce and Paula Wilson and baby of Payson were here. Bruce put a new front door at Ken and JoAnnes and then JoAnne went back up north with them to keep a doctors appointment. Visiting with Ernie and Wynona Henderson were Trish Di Sera and Dani and Niki of Magna. Also visiting was Mitch's friend Bryan Bullock of St. George. They spent a day in Escalante visiting aunt Nellie Baily, Connie and Alfred Jeppsen and Shauna Fay. They also went over to the Anasazi Museum Mu-seum in Boulder. Carol and Bill Holmes, Joyce and Lee Garisson and family, Jarl and Louise Harrison and family, Marilyn Beard and children and Joe and Rae Hughes all came to visit Thora Partner and stayed in tents or in her house. On June 10, the installation of new officers for 1999 wil take place at the Scout House. The President will be Ernie Henderson; first vice president, Charlie Francisco; second vice president Gail Pollock; secretary, secre-tary, Wynona Henderson; Treasurer, Annie Barnett; and membership, John Barnett. Outging president Bonnie Willis has served for three years. A big thanks to her. The Lions will sponsor David Mitchell to boys State this year, and Jeremy Moss received a $300 scholarship. The Lions Club meet once a month and will be doing a service project each month. |
