Show Republicans Set State Convention Republican state delegates from Garfield County will attend the Utah State Republican Convention set for June 5 at the Dee Event Center in Ogden. Delegates will organize the state party with election of state officers, party chair, vice-chair, secretary and treasurer, and to approve amendments amend-ments to the party constitution. Garfield County Republicans elected their delegates in local precinct caucuses held in March. Caucuses are held in March of even years and local precinct officers serve for two years. Delegates from the county include Leland Riggs (Hatch); Lee Mullenaux, Tom Simkins, Maloy Dodds, and Tom Hatch (Panguitch l); Earl Roe, Neucille Yardley, and Jim Yardley (Panguitch 2); Clare Ramsay and Carl Shakespear (Tropic); Jim Clarke (Cannonville); Lenza Wilson, Marilyn Jackson, Louise Liston and Marjie Spencer (Escalante); Larry Ripplinger (Boulder); and, Dell LeFevre and Kay Shakespear, (delegates at large). Republicans in the county who would like to serve as substitutes to the convention may contact their precinct chairman. Local precinct chairmen include Nile Sawyer (Hatch), Lee Mullenaux (Panguitch 1), Earl Roe (Panguitch 2); Lamar LeFevre (Tropic), Sandy Johnson (Henrieville), Alma Fletcher (Cannonville), (Can-nonville), Lenza Wilson (Escalante), (Esca-lante), Colleen Thompson (Boulder), (Boul-der), and Debbie Evans (Ticaboo). Antimony republicans may contact Garfield County Republican Chairman Chair-man Bill Cox. Teenage Republicans (TARS) have been invited to serve as hosts, hostesses and pages during the convention.
