Show Great Program I'm writing concerning the "National Fiddlers Contest" that was held in your city this past week. I'm sure the "Fiddler's Contest" was advertised in your paper, but felt some disappointment when it didn't have a better turnout from your towns people. Had it not been for the out-of-towners, especially St. George, and the contestants who participated, it would surely have been a failure. I want to say here and now I have never enjoyed so much talent and spent an enjoyable 3 days for so little money, I'm glad we drove 210 miles. The dinner and entertainment on Thursday evening was enjoyed by all. The cheerleaders put out a lovely dinner of barbecued meat, baked beans, salad, roll, drink and dessert. Proceeds go to class of 1990. We spent $20 for meal, dance and two days of entertainment for two people; that's not bad for living liv-ing on a limited income. We are certainly looking forward to more of these "Fiddler Contests" and hope all of the people of Panguitch Pan-guitch will come and see what they missed this year. I feel it was your loss and our gain. Thank You, Mary Rafiner 119 N. 500 W. Lehi.Ut. 84043 |
