Show Panguitch News Mamie Talbot Mr. and Mrs. Romell Hepworth picked up daughter Dixie Edwards in Beaver and went to St George to see their son Brent Hepworth perform per-form in the Dixie College production produc-tion "Anything Goes". Brent played a dual roll in the entertaining play. The Ray Tebbs, Jim Yardleys and Billy Doddses traveled to Salt Lake City to see Elder Craig Dodds off at the airport for his LDS Japan mission. They were joined there by Ken and Julia Dodds Combs and Shawn and Susan Dodds Lindsey and the Bob Doddses. The family went to the Stake Conference to hear the children of Angela Tebbs Sheffer sing, then went on to Logan for the blessing of Ray and Verda's great-grandson Ryan James Hunter son of Brad and Kathy Tebbs Hunter. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Frandsen went to Las Vegas to attend the funeral fu-neral service for son-in-law Vergil Le Roy Lundy who died of a heart attack while deer hunting at Battle Mountain, Nev. The Frandsen family fam-ily all came to Panguitch where Vergil was buried in the City Cemetery. Mrs. Lundy will be remembered re-membered by local folks as Adcle Iverson, daughter of Emma En-glestead En-glestead Iverson Frandsen. Adele teaches LDS Seminary in Las Vegas. Ve-gas. The John Riggs family spent several days with his mother Ema Riggs and also visited Tina's family the Bill Kays. t Beverly Goulding was in Salt Lake City to be with her mother Opal Norton while Opal had cataract surgery. She is recovering nicely. Ron Hatch and Ron Greenhalgh were called to clerk and secretary positions in the First LDS Ward Bishopric. The Ron Hatch family gave the program in the ward sacrament meeting. Stake and Ward Temple day will be Friday, Nov. 18. Word had been received from up north of the death and burial there of Panguitch native Myrtle Davis Worlhen, wife of Douglas Worthen and daughter of the Chris Davises of Panguitch. The mcmhershiDS of Kenneth Orton and his son Matthew Orton and the James Cooper family were received into the Panguitch Third Ward. The Young Women presented an outstanding musical program in the sacrament meeting based on their theme for 1988 of Faith, Divine Di-vine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice and Accountability, Account-ability, Good Works and Integrity. The Art Tebbses took Elfa Tebbs to Provo to spend a month with her daughter Myrtle Prince. Art and Wenda Mae went on to Logan to attend the blessing of Joshua Tebbs Stout, son of Rick and Cindy Tebbs Stout. Joshua is the Stout's first son; three sister welcomed him. Ken Roe blessed the baby and the Tebbses visited in Smithfield with Ken and Judi Tebbs Roe. The mission farewell for Elder Harold Orton was held in the Panguitch Pan-guitch LDS Second Ward. Speakers were the Gary Orton family and Bishop O.J. Bauer. Than Cooper and Jimmie Cooper sang at the service. The James Henries are back from business trip to Washington, The Hatch and three Panguitch LDS ward choirs met together on Sunday to begin practice for th$ Christmas program. An invitation to join with them was extended to all who would like to sing. |
