Show PHS Class Of 1931 Holds 55 Year Meet Members of the Panguitch High School Class of '31 were excited to ( see their name in lights on July 25. The proprietors of Ruby's Inn at ! Bryce placed class members names up in lights on the marquee at t Ruby's Inn where they gathered to celebrate their 55th anniversary : year. f . Theme for the reunion was "A i Day in School." i The class was called to order by the class president Clem McEwen and Ray Tebbs led the pledge of e allegiance. The school song was : sung enhanced by the ladies chorus n led by Hope Goulding. Members of the chorus were Hilma Excell, s Verda Tebbs, Faye Worthen, and Gean Henrie. i The invocation was offered by i Verd Worthen. A roll call was made by Wallace Miller. He reported that i the class of 31 was the largest graduating class in the history of i Panguitch High School. The class a boasted 96 members. Of the original i 51 boys.. in the class 29 boys are i deceased. Of the original 44 girls j eight are deceased. j Forty people enjoyed a steak dinner at the inn including four i guests: Mr. and Mrs. Richard j Kunde, Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Bracken, Slat Lake City. tV Dorothy Crosby Bracken sang a y medley for the class members and a the chorus sang "Tulip Time" taken j from the school operetta presented : by the class of 1930. i Class members spent a lot of time S "catching up" and enjoying old t classmates. The evening was 5 capped off by the cutting and sharing of the class birthday cake. |
