Show - Tropic Topics - Ella Adair Mr. and Mrs. C. Price Allred have moved to Tropic. Their daughter Emma Lou, Salt Lake City and son Jeff and family from Chili spent a few days with them this week. Mr. and Mrs. Bybee Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Campbell visited with the Afton Pollocks. The Herman Pollocks had the Cray Pollock family home for the July 24 holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Shakespear from Iowa spent a week with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Obie Shakespear. The Clive Bybees have daughter Kaelynn and son Gary and their families visiting with them. Mr. and Mrs. George Dodd, Sacramento are visiting with the E.R. Shakespears, the Obie Shakespears and Marian Shakespear. The Ira Littlefields enjoyed a visit from the Jim Beattys. Mazel Littlefield and daughters are visiting at the Norman Littlefields. Lit-tlefields. Geraldine Moon has returned from her mission and is visiting with her parents in Salt Lake City. The town went all out for the July 24 holiday this year. The parade was one of the best. Participants from a young baby to senior citizens took part. A fun day consisting of races, games, bake sale, goodies, followed by a delicious chicken dinner. To climax the activities town members attended the Color Country Rodeo at Ruby's Inn. The Sherman Baughs had the Ronald Baugh family home for a week. Renone Hodson, daughter Suzann and children from New Mexico, visited with the Ray Littlefields. The Jay Littlefield and Ronnie Littlefield families went to Salt Lake City to meet Dennis Littlefield returning from his LDS mission. Mr. and Mrs. Wade Dotson, Bagdad, Ariz, are at the Dexter Francisco home spending their vacation. Amplus LeFevre had the Kenneth LeFevres visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Davis, Salem, visited with the Ursel Otts. Keela Mangum was in Zion Park on business for three days. Rachel Ahlstrom accompanied brother Julius Dalley to Salt Lake City for medical care. Annie Colvin and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Merrill were overnight visitors at LaRene Munsons. Marilyn Murdock spent the weekend with the Wallace Ott family. Regan Lake visited the Bill Pollocks. The Stan Mechams have daughter Debbie from Nevada spending a few days with them. The Laurel class was reorganized Sunday. New officers are: Kimberly Talbot, president; Cari Baugh, first counselor; Tracy Littlefield, second counselor; and Joyce Ott, secretary. Speakers in Sacrament meeting were Mitchell Littlefield, Dana Baugh, Larraine Niemann and Kenneth Piatt. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Zduwith (Margaret Ann) of West Valley visited with Margaret Mecham and Margie Mecham. The E.R. Shakespears had all of their children home for the Shakespear reunion. Visiting with the Sherman Baughs for their family reunion were: Lillis Francisco, Tropic; Marlene Chynoweth, Ferron; Ben Baugh, Duchesne; LaVel Baugh, Grand Canyon, Ariz.; Ronald Baugh, West Valley; Mateland Baugh and Herbert Baugh, Tropic; and all their families. Mr. and Mrs. Afton Pollock and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shakespear at-i at-i tended memorial services for Carl Farnsworth in Panguitch. Mr. and Mrs. Tad Jolley visited with the Earl Jolleys. Elaine Warren and daughters visited sisters Marian Shakespear, June Shakespear and Leona Stewart. Family members attending the William Shakespear reunion in Tropic on July 26 were Eulla Parkinson, Roy; Aletta Dodds, Sacramento, Calif. ; Marian Shakespear, Obie Shakespear and the E.R. Shakespears, Tropic. The Obie Shakespears had all of their family home except McKailiee in Arizona, for a family reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Clarke and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Clarke from Chicago spent a few days with the Lester Clarkes. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Cottam made a trip to the eastern states to bring son Kent home from an LDS mission. Their three children are staying with the Paul Mangums while they are gone. Mr. and Mrs. La Mar Shakespear visited with sons Keven, and Doug and with Ora Brinkerhoff. A bridal shower for Kaleen Littlefield Lit-tlefield was given by Charlotte Littlefield, Donna Chynoweth and Tammi Witt. Dennis Littlefield will give his mission report in Sacrament meeting Aug. 10. |
