Some former residents here for the occasion were the Dcvaur Tal- bots of Provo, and Fawn Hancock Goulding, Ernie Macs and Zoe , Maes of Sandy. Some of Dewey Beckstrom's boys made it home. The Mack Millers are back from , Dixie for the summer and had son Sheridan Miller's family here from up north. We heard of the death of Vain Pt Sandin in Las Vegas and extend our ; sympathy to Utahna and family. The Frank Henries took a van load V 0f relatives down to the funeral. S; rj0jng were Vain's sisters Velma Barney, Ardith Lund and Bessie j Sandin. The Vernon Barneys, Miles , Barneys, Suzann Hatch, Coleen Simkins, Suzett Simkins and Col- let Simkins traveled to Orem to at- : tend the high school graduation of S ' Mark Mitchell, son of Kathy Hen- rie Mitchell. 4 The Bob Lowes have pulled up stakes and moved to California, where Bob has been working for ij sometime. Their home and storage i sheds are up for sale. The Larry Coons have moved into the Lowe's house. v Work has started on two new homes up under the Lake Hill which belong to the Tom Jarmans and the Roger Nowcrs. Panguitch is stretching, especially to the north and south. The Doug Jensen house has received re-ceived a face lift of brick-like stucco. stuc-co. Word is that a couple more , houses in town are scheduled for the j,, same treatment. This sure helps some of the old houses. ? Nida Mae Jensen had all the re-a, re-a, cuperating from surgery she could ' stand so went back to her work at 3 Job Service. The quiet life can be 'i nerve wracking. i Todd Henrie graduated from c Southern Utah State College at (Cedar City. Attending the ceremony were parents John M. and Judy Henrie, the Mark Henries, Laurie Jj Henrie and grandmother Rosemond Henrie. Laurie is home from school in Cedar City for the summer, jj Grandpa Keith Henrie couldn't at-3 at-3 tend as he is in the local hospital jh with a heart attack. He is scheduled 10 go north this week for a damage an assessment. a We missed mentioning the Dres- ence of Lcs Henrie and wife Camilla Camil-la Henrie and their daughter Vivian Dawn Lichcnbcrg of Ogdcn, here for the funeral of Mamie Hatch. All of Delia Tcbbs' family were here for it. The Bud Bowmans have taken the "for sale" sign off their home and are going to stay. Their daughter daugh-ter Peggy Marker of Henderson and her little daughter Sara Marker are taking over the Carl Morris home. How lucky to have dear ones so close. Incidently, Carl and wife Almyrta Morris are improving from their physical ailments and are investigating in-vestigating moving to Kanab. Iris Bell Smith was in town for Memorial Day. Rcna Cole and son Bradley Cole and Maude Dickenson went to San Diego to see Rcna's son David Thompson graduate in an impressive impres-sive ceremony from Naval Boot Camp. After a little more training there David will go to Great Lakes, 111., for further duty. Rena's daughters daugh-ters Jaylynn Pliego and Jaylccn Martinez of San Diego are visiting at the Dickenson home. Lyle Miller is home from her winter's stay with son Mike Miller in Florida. On her way home she stopped at daughter Marlene Lewis' home in Henderson just at the time of the big explosion there. She's glad to be home. Some other former Panguitchites here for the holiday were Verna Owens, Ora Myers, the Don Ex-cells, Ex-cells, the Wallace Hatches and the Richard Miller family. Ema Riggs is home from Nebraska Ne-braska where she attended the graduation of Joan Lau's daughter. The John Riggs family is here visiting vis-iting Erna and the Bill Kays. Lena Miller had her sister Jean Patrick here for awhile. The Ray Tebbs have the Angela Tebbs Shaffer family home from up north. Jacketta Goodin is home from California and has had nephews, the Fred Hatches from California and Jay Hatches from Idaho here. The Maurice Hatches and Garth Camerons are in the area around Panguitch Lake. Peter Frandsen and his mother Allie Frandsen have received mission calls to Nauvoo, 111. Allie acts as Peter eyes. The Jay Proctors went up to grandson Jared Proctors high school graduation at Centcrville. George Middlcton has been a patient pa-tient in the local hospital. The George Proctors, Jay Proctors Proc-tors and Merle Stowell traveled to Spanish Fork for the funeral services of Edith Hales, mother of Charlotte Clark. Merle has had grandson Caleb Stowell with her for a few days. Her sister Nell Clark was also here. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barnes of Ogden have bought the house south of Red Canyon Indian store and are in the process of getting settled. Mrs. Barnes is the sister of Jay Clark of Panguitch. Barbara Talbot is home from Montezuma Creek for the summer. She and mother Mamie Talbot went north for reunions and the baptism of Danielle Talbot, daughter of the Richard Talbots of Orem. Barbara went to Brigham City to a reunion of former Intermountain Indian school workers. Mamie attended the William Talbot family reunion along with Hilma Excell and numerous nu-merous family members. The many Talbot descendents present sent their love home to the few remaining remain-ing Talbots in town. Eva Marshall was up north visiting with her family. The Lyle Talbot family brought his mom Mamie Talbot home from Sandy and spent the holiday fishing and enjoying the change to a relaxed pace of living. The Jay Crosbys went to Cedar City to the college graduation of daughter-in-law Amy Jo Crosby. She is the wife of Lynn Crosby. The Laine Nortons have been here visiting and doing some painting jobs for daughter Joan Norton. The Calvin Davies have moved into their new home, from California. The Jimmy O. Henries have made it back to their old stomping grounds. They have moved into the old Aunt Ri Heywood house next |
