Fishing Up At Panguitch Lake PANGUITCH LAKE -Fishing began picking up at Panguitch Lake on Sunday and has continued very good since according to resort owners at the lake. Beaver Dam's Bob Daly said Tuesday that nice stringers of 1 12 to 2-lb. fish are being caught from boats. The top bait has been Power Bait, Daly said. Mary Beth Burningham at Panguitch Lake Resort said that Sunday had been the best fishing day of the year thus far, with most caught from boats and very few from the shoreline. ;Lake View Resort's Pat Butler reported Monday and Tuesday fishing as "great." The best results came, she said, trolling lead core line at three colors with a frog needlefish lure or bait fishing with Power Bait. Nice fish were averaging 1 12 to 2-lb. each, 5 to 7 per stringer. Mammoth Creek Fish Hatchery reported recent plants of trout at Aspen Mirror Lake, Duck Creek, Panguitch Creek and Upper Mammoth Creek. |
