Show Bob Evans, Garfield County Road Shed chief in Panguitch readies the Pangultch Race Track In preparation for the spring and summer asault Batch Happenings Velma Huntington Wiley Huntington drove the senior citizens mini bus to St. George where a group of senior citizens attended sessions in the LDS Temple. Those besides the driver were Lucille Huntington, Noreen Evans, Hope Dalton, Lilith Wilson, Velma Huntington, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Turek, Calvin Wilson, Beth Allred and Delores Allred. Beth and Delores Allred stayed in St. George to visit Mr. and Mrs. Garn Huntington and to help Darol Allred celebrate his birthday. Friday Beth and Delores accompanied Darol Allred here to spend the weekend with Velma Huntington and Jody Allred. Visiting them were the Fred Houstons, Beaver; and Mr, and Mrs. spat Dix, Kristy Barabas and April Dix, Panguitch. Mr, and Mrs. Darol Allred and Delores Allred left the first of the week to return to St. George on business about their home. A firemen's dinner and auction was held at the cultural hall to raise funds to buy equipment for the fire house. Jody Allred accompanied the Barry Ericksons, Panguitch to Brigham Young University, Provo where he entered the competition for state finals in solo ensemble. He received a number one rating. Speakers in sacrament meeting were Kimberly Arnold and stake leaders Layne Johnson and Keith Barben. Brad DeFord was ordained a deacon in the LDS Church. Kimberly Arnold, Lewis Barney and Lucinda Sawyer went to Logan for. band competition" with many. schools there. They came in 3rd. Shirley and Monica Wilhelm spent, a few days in Las Vegas, Nv. while Shirley's son Del Woodard underwent surgery. Alvin Wilhelm spent the weekend down with his family from his job at Tonopah, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Barnhurst and Lenore Randolph, Salt Lake City visited a few days at their home here. Visiting Effel Riggs were Ray Burrows and friend Bonnie Foster, Ogden. David Winn, Cedar City visited his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Turek. of favored bangtails. Race meets are scheduled at the Panguitch facility throughout the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Fagg attended a Southern Utah State College en-tertainment at Cedar City where their daughter Trudi participated. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap were Cindy Sawyer, Cedar City and Sheril Sawyer, Henrieville. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wilcock visited at the Grant Daltons and attended the dinner at the cultural hall. The Lee Porters, Orem spent the weekend at their cottage here. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder visited in Orderville with Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Crofts and helped Phillip celebrate his birthday. |
