Show Henrieville Gets Fire Station Grant HENRIEVILLE The town of Henrieville has been awarded a $60,000 grant to construct a fire station. The grant was awarded by the Permanent Community Impact Fund board which is staffed by the Division of Community Development, Department of Community and Economic Development. The Impact Board allocates funds which are generated by mineral lease royalties in the state for the purpose of providing financial assistance to energy impacted communities. Fine Arts Exhibit To Open Saturday The annual fine arts exhibit -sponsored by the Garfield County School District and the Bryce Canyon Communities Art Guild will open Saturday April 27 at the Panguitch High School gym. "- On Sunday the public is invited to an artists' tea from 5 until 6 p.m. with special art demonstrations. Cal Porter will demonstrate egg tempra; Anna Yazzie, pencil drawing; Jim Clarke, water color; Verna Owens, oil; Lucille Bridges, , ink; Mark LeFevre, block print; and Tim Feltner, silk screen. Students from all over the school district will tour the exhibit on Monday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. That evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m., Lynn Munson and Renon Bybee will present art demonstrations. On Tuesday evening, from 7 until 8:30 p.m., demonstrations will be presented by Verna Owens, Laura Julander, and Mary Ross and on Wednesday by Luella Adams, Mae Sawyer and Reva Lowder. Demonstrating on Thursday evening will be Alfhild Josie and Carol Dodds and on Friday, Jim ""Clarke. The exhibit will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5. Exhibiting artwork will be artists from Panguitch high school, Bryce Valley High School, Escalante High School, Panguitch Elementary, Escalante Elementary, the Panguitch Art Guild, and the 'Escalante Art GuiltL. ...y'. - .5. Also contributing to the exhibit will be artists from all over Utah: St. George, Kanab, Orderville, Cedar City, Fillmore, Delta, Flowell, Deseret, Hinckley, Oasis, Milford, Hurricane, Provo, Salt Lake City, Ogden, Price, Spring City, Ephraim, Clearfield, Monroe, Richfield and Bountiful. |
