Show Hatch Happenings Baptismal services were held at the chapel at 1 p.m. for Mistl Eve Burrows. She was baptized by her uncle Joseph Cole. He also confirmed her a member of the LDS church. The Daughters of Utah Pioneers held their meeting Friday at the chapel with Estella Riggs who served as hostess and conducted the meeting. May Sawyer gave the lesson "Pioneer Clothes." A program and dinner was held in the cultural hall for all adults in the ward to commemorate the birthday of the Relief Society. On Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Darol Allred and Velma Huntington attended a session in the St. George LDS temple and the wedding of Gale Davis and Julia Ann Kesler. That evening Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dalton attended the wedding reception in Beaver for the newlyweds. Stake leaders Colette Nay and Dale Baldwin were speakers in church. Mrs. Nay's and Mr. Bald win's families accompanied them to church. Mr. and Mrs. David Sawyer made a trip to St. George where David consulted with a medical specialist. The first of the week they visited the Ken Roberts ill Antimony. Those visiting at the Karl Lowders in honor of Reva Lowder's birthday were Mindy Bailey and Mary Beth Bailey, Miners ville; William Riggs, Karleta Riggs and Angela Riggs, Panguitch; LaRee Burrows and Lori Lewis, Fredonia. A birthday dinner was held for Reva on Sunday. Guests were the Darol Allreds and Mrs. Allred's mother Velma Huntington. Darol Allred went to Washington City where he started to work Monday. The Ward Lees, St. George visited over the weekend with the Homer Duttons. The family of Fred Houston, Beaver visited the Darol Allreds and Velma Huntington, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dalton visited in Las Vegas several days with the Dennis Daltons and their guests, daughters of the Grant Daltons: Faun Childers, Calif.; and Shannon Clark, Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Barnhurst went to Cedar City where Mrs. Barnhurst entered the hospital for surgery on Monday. Visiting the Craig Barneys were Susan Ethington and. Amy Ethington, Magna |
