Show Beautification Is Chamber Topic Beautification was the main topic of discussion at the monthly meeting of the Panguitch Chamber of Commerce. The chamber will set up a committee on beautification within the next few weeks. Cleanup will start with grading of area ditches and a special cleanup week will be designtaed for one week in May. Flower seeds for spring planting are currently available at the Panguitch city offices in the courthouse. Chamber members passed a motion supporting the purchase of whiskey barrel half-barrel planters to place down the sidealks on Main Street. Flowers will be planted for the sumemr season each year to brighten the community and make it more appealing to the many tourists who visit Panguitch. Chamber members will involve the public and local businesses in helping with donated labor to complete the project. An employee-of-the-month commitee was set up to establish criteria for selection and to work with businessmen in the monthly promotional project. Committee members are Tom Butterfield and Grace Benfield. Chamber president Steve Marshall said that he had not been pleased with recent Utah Travel Council advertising for the state of Utah in major periodicals.
