Show Fine Arts Exhibit To Open Saturday The annual fine arts exhibit sponsored by the Garfield County School District and the Bryce Canyon Communities Art Guild opens Saturday in Panguitch. The nine-day exhibit starts Saturdavfrom 2:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., with exhibits on display at the Panguitch High School gym. There is no charge for viewing the show which includes art from some 24 communities outside Garfield County. Contributing from the county will be students from Bryce Valley, Escalante and Panguitch High Schools and Bryce Valley, Escalante and Panguitch Elementary Schools. Also participating will be members of the Bryce Valley, Escalante and Panguitch Art Guilds. A special artists' tea will be featured on Sunday from S until 7 p.m. with demonstrations at 7:30 by Carl Porter (egg 'tempra), Keith Christensen (pencil drawing), Jim Clarke (water color), Verna Owens (oil), Lucille Bridges, (ink,) Mark LeFevre (block print) and Tim Feltner (silk screen). On Monday, students from all over the county will tour the exhibit. A special demonstration by Lynn Munson is set for 7 to 8:30 p.m. On Tuesday, the special demonstration will be offered by Lucille Bridges and Laura Julander; on Wednesday by Luella Adams and Verna Owens; Thursday, Alfhild Josie and Carol Dodds ; and on Friday, Jim Clarke.
