Show 4-H Club Learns Skills of Cooking Five girls who intend to learn how to cook formed a new 4-H group in Panguitch, the "Five Flavory Cooks." Their adult leader is Karleta Riggs. At their first meeting they elected officers: Jana Black, president; Rebecca Riggs, vice president; Trudi Yardley, secretary; Marianne Gardner, reporter and Katie Pierson, songleader. They learned how to measure ingredients, studied a little about proper nutrition and then made "Moon Balls." They also made "Salad Bunnies" using a pear for the body, raisins for the eyes, a cherry for the mouth, bananas for the ears and mar-shmallows for the bunnies' tails. Each salad bunny sat in. a field of green lettuce for serving and the girls said the best thing about their bunnies was that they were "good to eat!" |
