Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair The Bryce Lady Lions met Thursday for an evening of literature. Betty Lou Wintch shared her collection of personal writings with tne group. Mira Loy Ott was hostess for the evening. Mr. and Mrs. John Allen have a new baby boy. The proud grandmother is Truie Allen, delighted to have a grandson come to her family. She has six granddaughters to welcome him. Ron McGee and friend from Ogden visited with VerDella and Minnie Nielsen over the weekend. Kay Mar and Mary Jean Willis and children visited with Flora LeFevre and other friends in Troopic. The Clare Ramsay family spent Sunday in Enterprise attending a missionary farewell for their niece. Ora Brinkerhoff has her green house almost complete. The work of planting comes next. Joy Stubbs enjoyed a visit from her mother over the weeekend. She came to help Joy celebrate her birthday. Kim Alvey and family spent Saturday visiting with the Royal Alveys and showing off their new son to the proud grandparents. We are happy to learn that Lucy Shakespear is out of the hospital and that Orvilla Shakespear is home from the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Richards are the parents of a new baby boy, born In Panguitch March 4. The Floyd Richards are the proud grandparents. April 10th has been set as the time for the Dcseret Industries truck to come to Tropic. A stake temple day is to be Saturday, March 13. The Charley Fran-ciscos enjoyed a three day visit from their daughter Robin, from St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Lit-tlefield were in Richfield for the naming of their new great grandson. Casey Richards and Krissette Shakespear were baptized into the LDS Church Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wintch and family spent Sunday with the Kent Wintch family. Their baby son was given the name Adam Kent by his. grandfather Kent Wintch. There were four generations present for the event . . . great grandfather Charley Wintch, grandfather Kent Wintch and father Kenneth Wintch. Richard Ott was ordained a priest, Margaret Shakespear was sustained as the CTR leader and Margie Mecham released from the Primary. Kevin and Kassi Bybee, Mary Ann and Rusty Castor and small daughter visited the Clive Bybees over the weekend. Steve Mecham visited his parents overnight. He had attended the wedding of one of his missionary companions in St. George and was on his way back to Salt Lake City. Kelly and Birch Moore visited the Mateland Baughs. Gwen Hunter, sister of Nell Wilson from Fillmore and her missionary companion, sister Bolin, stopped to see the Wilsons on their way to their mission assignment in South Carolina. Susan Harris, Bob Greene, Hubert Hendricks and family and Elizabeth Copinga visited with the Paul Mangums. Paul and Keela Mangum attended the funeral services for Osmaer Nielsen in Parowan. Charlotte Littlefield visited with family members in Las Vegas, Nev. over the weekend. The men were busy separating cattle this past week. La Rene Munson spent a week in St. George visiting with Ada and Will Shakespear. Carol Stewart spent a few days in Cedar City this week. |
