Show Rula Houston to Note 80th Year The children of Rula D. Houston invite everyone to an open house in honor of her 80th birthday. It will be held Saturday, April 28 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the home of Dan and Karen Tebbs, 66 South 200 West, Panguitch. Mrs. Houston was born April 25, 1899 at Summit, Utah. She was married to Joe Gale Houston on Nov. 12, 1919 in the St. George IDS Temple. They made their home in Panguitch. Their children are Gale Houston, Tony, both Las Vegas; Bob, Kanab; Dororth Heap, Herman, both Cedar City; and Karen Tebbs, Panguitch. Mrs. Houston has been active in the LDS Church and many civic clubs. She has played the piano for many activities in the community. She is now the accompanist for the First Ward Relief Society. She makes quilts and handwork for her family and the church. "She enjoys gardening and keeps her yard beautiful with flowers," said her daughter, Mrs. Tebbs. |
