Show Mnuricc Cope TROPIC Funeral services were held In Salt Lake City April 26 for Maurice Cope, a former Tropic resident who died at his home. Mr. Cope had taught school in Tropic and had also been park ranger at Bryce Canyon National Park, from 1929 to 1948, when he moved to Salt Lake City with his family. He also served as a member of the Tropic Ward bishopric of the LDS church for 19 years. Mr. Cope Is survived by his wife, DeEsta Stewart Cope, five sons, Elmo, Montibello, Calif.; Gene, Max and Kenneth of Salt Lake City; and Grant, Springdale; three daughters, Gwen Cope and Mrs. Chris (Rhea) Jensen both Salt Lake City and Mrs. Mark (Etna) Cosgrove, Draper; 28 grand children, 33 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Pollock and Mrs. Jenny Reynolds. |
