Show Hatch Happenings Reva Lowder Our Sunday School presented a very nice Easter Program Sunday. Speakers in sacrament meeting were our stakes lady missionaries Sister Smith and Sister Johnson. Several of our MIA officers and teachers and young folks attended the Youth Conference in Panguitch. Jeff and Nicole Rhees, Kanab accompanied Carta, Deon, Pete, Lucinda and Michael Sawyer to Salt Lake City to meet LaVal Sawyer for Easter who had arrived that far from his trip to Alabama. He was enroute to Canada. Jeff and Nicole went on to Ogden to visit his grandparents, Deon came home sporting a new car. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sawyer met the Vay Sawyers, Kanab and Vaelyn Sawyer, Phoenix, Ariz, and accompanied them to Warm Springs, Nevada on a picnic. Verla and Vaneta came home with their grandparents, then their folks came for them Sunday and visited the Sawyers and the Karl Lowders. Bp. and Mrs. Mervin Barnhurst and children, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Barnhurst went to the Devils Rock Garden over past Escalante. Visiting the Layton Barneys were the Craig Barneys, Logan. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Orlas Riggs were Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Riggs, Salt Lake City while enroute to Phoenix. Estella and Orlas visited in Parowan with the Ralph Riggs family. Mr. and Mrs. Verd Worthen visited them. The Sam Evans and three grandchildren visited in Springdale then on to St. George to enjoy a picnic with the Vaughn Evans. The small children of Bp. and Mrs. Don Heap, Cedar City visited with Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap then Garth and Theora made a trip to Cedar City where they attended funeral services in Cedar City for a friend. The Lamar Barneys and Janett and Susan Young spent the Easter holidays in Tucson, Ariz, with the Bruce Marbles. Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Turek visited in Kanab with the Brent Tureks. Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Huntington visited in Washington with Ada Nordell and in Stt George with Oliver Huntington. Visiting the Huntingtons during the long weekend were the Stan Huntingtons, Cedar City; the Allen and the Lowell Huntingtons and the Jim Kaboni's, Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sartini and Heath were here from Calif, where they have been for Bills health. They stayed at their home near the Fish Hatchery and visited ' friends. |
