Show 1 Henrieville Melba D. Smith (7VU72 Cal Chynoweth, son of Ralph and Lad Chynoweth received a certificate of merit from the people of the Grit paper and giving him the title of star salesman. Evelyn Parry and sons and Marilyn Partner of Orem came on Tuesday and stayed until Friday with their parents, Hsrry and Thora Partner. Other visitors at the Partner home were Mr. and Mrs. Bobble Hughes and son Kelly from St George. They came to visit and get fruit and vegetables. Ila Mae Hughes Balke and family visited on Saturday. Visitors on Sunday were Deloy and Joleen Evans and Lynn .and Noreen Evans. Laura Clark went to Glen Canyon last week to spend the week with Kay. They came for the weekend and Kay went back on Monday. Visitors at the A moo Barker home on Tuesday was Aubrey and Alice Slmplins. She Is an aunt to Amon. They were on their way from Washington to Arizona for the winter. Dave and Jerry Millett and children visited her parents, Rhoda and Ora Shafer. Also visiting was daughter, Paula Richards and two children. Maxine Crosby brought Mildred Deuel to visit at the Layton Smith home on Monday while she visited her father, Tom Richards and brother, Floyd Richards and family at Tropic. The Relief Society opening social was held Saturday at Kodachrome State Park. Ward conference was held here on Sunday with stake visitors. Also speaking in sacrament meeting was Ellis and Arvella Johnson prior to their leaving on an LDS mission. Shelly and Kora Robinson from Hawthorne, Nev. spent the night with Karla Willis. Mayo and Helen Zabriski from Redding, Calif, visited her four brothers, Bob, Kay, Oscar and Roy Willis and their familieis. Bonnie and Helen Willis went to Cedar City on Tuesday on business. Joe and Rae Hughes, Roy and Bonnie Willis and Bob and Helen Willis went to Randolph, Utah for the elk hunt They Joined Monte Willis and his son, Allen there. Roy was the only lucky one getting his elk. La June Willis writes from the BYU Language Training Center that she is happy learning the Spanish language better prior to leaving on her mission. Visiting Elizabeth Baugh, May and Wade Chynoweth and Beatrice and Loral Barton was Elizabeth's, daughters, Delane Littlefield, Shirley Taylor and Velma Palmer. Velma stayed a few days longer and Elizabeth will go back to Ogden for an extended visit with relatives. Mrs. Baugh received word of the death of Henry and Edith Sandburg's daughter-in-law, Janice Sandburg of Ogden. |
