Show Cannonville Bettv HendfMotv G7-8S9x Ann and Tom Recce of Las Vegas brought their friend, Shirley Rago and children for a visit at the George Thompsons. Wilma Dutton and children are back home from a visit with Nola Davis and family in Kanab. Marion Clark came from Page, Ariz, to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dunham are parents of a new son born Saturday at the Kanab Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Dunham are the grandparents and the new baby's great grandmother Is Alice Dunham. Marva and Clele Fletcher joined son John and his wife for a fishing trip to Otter Creek. John and Nelda came home with his parents for the weekend. Laurie Dee Holley attended the post-masters convention in Vernal. Fern and Alta Henderson had dinner with the other widow senior citizens at the Henrieville Ward on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nelson of Cedar City spent the weekend visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nelson. John and Charlotte Mathews and children spent several days visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Mangum. On Saturday grandmother Henrie of Panguitch joined them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Sherril Ried of San Diego visited Gerald Stock. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Henderson and Mr, and Mrs. Dorrell Henderson are visiting Alta Henderson and Gretha Twitchell. Saturday evening Maggie and Boyd called on the Elme Henderson family. The boyhood pals had not seen each other in 25-years. Clele Fletcher attended a math workshop in Richfield last week. A lawn party honoring George Thompson on his birthday was held for the family at the Laurie Holley home. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Fletcher have had three of the Larry Fletcher children, Mathew, Richard and Lynne as house guests for a couple of weeks. On Saturday the Ariel Fletchers took Lynne home to Orem. When she came for her visit she'd broken her wrist and it was time to get rid of the cast. Karen Sivils and children spent a few days here at the Lark Reynold's home. Marva Fletcher took her mother, Rachael Thompson to Panguitch so the doctor could stitch her finger. Pisa Collins, Infant daughter of Shirlene Collins came to see her grandmother Glenda Feltner Of course mother came along to make certain grandmother didn't do too much spoiling. Afton Dutton went to Kanab to look for work. Jobs are pretty scarce there, too. Ira and Julie Elmer took their grandson, Foster Moosman home to Mt. Pleasant. Jody Ilea ton and family of Springdale spent this week vacationing at the Kendall Duttons. Fishing and visiting seems to be the favorite past-time. Merwin Dunham and daughter visited his mother, Alice Dunham. The Ariel Fletcher family gathered at Kodaachrome basin for a family picnic. Out-of-town guests were Larry Fletcher and children of Orem and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Christenson of Detroit, Mich. During the night Detroit Police Department called to say the Christenson home had been burglarized. The Elmer Hendersons spent a few days in Boise with their sons and visiting friends. The Melvin Duttons of Fredonia came to finish their garden planting. Jeff and Sandi Rucker and Alma and Anita Fletcher went to Hackberry on Friday. John Palmer was honored on his '89th birthday anniversary Sunday with an open house. Out-of-twon guests included the Chad Shakes pears, Verl Palmers, Faye Ott, Ray and Barbara Clements, Rex Palmers, Wendell Palmers, Reldon Palmers and the Eldon Palmers, Sherron Jenson and children of Springville spent this past week at her parents, Mr. and Mrs, Sherman Davis. Melda Davis and Mary LeFevre went to Richfield Wed, where Mary had business. Lamont and Judy Davis spent Sunday with the Sherman Davis family. Shirley Barker and Melda Davis took Chris to Kanab Saturday for a tonsilectomy. He is doing fine. The Angus Baldwins went to Salt Lake City and Ogden to visit their sons, Bill and Preal. Joe and Rae Hughes went on a trip for Utah park supplies to Great Sand Dunes in Colorado. John and Charlotte Mathews visited her parents, the Joe Hughes while they were in town last week. A fund raising event included a rummage sale, cooked food sale and a dinner was held Saturday night at the ward social hall. |
