Show Panguitch Patter Je rrle Fackrtll-7-27 Mrs. Elfa Tebbs had her family home over the Memorial holiday. Those visiting were Mr. and Mrs. John Prince, Provo; Dr. William J. Tebbs, Marina Delltey, Calif, and Jean Tebbs and daughter, Brigham City. Also visiting were her sisters Irene Beckstrom and Evedean Sawins, South Gate, Calif. Bob llooe. comedian and humanitarian was the com mencement speaker at the 82nd annual ceremonies at Utah State University. Allen Konroy Henrie - agriculture was among the 1850 people receiving their bachelor's degree at the ceremony. Mr. Henrie is the son of Konroy and Cleo Henrie, Panguitch. Shirley and "Buck" Bulkley took a trip to Salt Lake Gty the past week to market and see their son, Ronald. Brown Sanford's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Bert San ford, Delta spent the weekend In Panguitch. The men went fishing, the women visited. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Proctor and son, Kim, went to Page to their grandson's graduation, Richard Garth Veater. There were 116 graduates. Vickie Blake and daughter Sheila visited the Tom Proctors over the weekend. Vic and Evelyn Dettamantl and family. Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Dettamantl, Vic's parents, Bar Harbar, Oreg. were weekend visitors at the June Owen's home. Wallace and Lucille Tebbs, Las Vegas visited Nettle Dowdell and Eva Tebbs over the weekend. The Carvel Henries enjoyed visiting with Cullen and Kae Holly oat and family, Cedar City and Clark and Lou DeLong, Moab. Ruland and Fay Ella Prince spent the weekend at their cabin at Panguitch Lake. They report the fishing at Panguitch Lake is great! The fishermen are catching 11-12 inchers and most of the people are getting their limits. When the Princes returned from the lake they found one of the many twisters hitting Panguitch area had picked up their camper, twirled It around and dumped It upside down on the ground about 15-feet from where it was setting. They were happy to find the only damage was a broken window. The top needed a little repair and the contents were thrown helter-skelter. Frank and Von Daly had visitors over the weekend. They were the Don Bunker family, Calif, and the Frank Cooper family, Orem. The Deseret Industries will be here June 7 at the social hall. Be sure to have your things there no later than 10 a.m Business in the South Ward sacrament meeting was as follows Louise Englcstead and her counselors, Mrs. Al Goodin and Mrs. Paul Julander and secretary, Mrs. Jay Riggs were released from the presidency of the Relief Society. Mrs. Wallace Lee was sustained as the new president, her counselors are Golda Julander and JackEtta Goodin. The secretary Is Mrs. Jay Proctor. Dr Sims Duggins is in the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City being treated. His condition Is satisfactory. His wife, Unlce Is in Salt Lake City to be with him. LeGrande and Armeda Farnsworth visited In Richland, Wash. last week with their son Phil and Lucille Farnsworth and family. While there they attended graduation exercises for Lucille and their twin grandsons, Richard and Ronald. Lucille graduated with honors from Columbia Basin Community College. She plans to attend Central Washington State College for additional classes leading to a degree in early childhood education. Richard and Ronald graduated with honors from Harford High School In Rich- land. Ronald was awarded a drama scholarship and Richard received an award plaque. The boys will both attend the University of Washington next vear. Phil and Lucille's daughter, Camille, sophomore in high school, was awarded a two-week all expense paid scholarship in drama and chorus to Eastern Washington State College this summer. She will also be going on a tour of Canada with a church youth choir. Phil now works for Exxon Nuclear Co. in Richland where he is manager of Continct Management. Exxon nuclear supplies nuclear fuel for nuclear reactors throughout the world. These reactors are used for generating electricity. Irene and Richard Tebbs, Cedar City formerly Panguitch, are proud parents of a baby boy after five girls. He was born May 28 and will be given the name of Bruce Richard. |
