Show Cannonville Betty Henderson 7-HM Most of the people In Cannonville have been pretty unhappy this week because of the lack of water. Crews burying telephone cables have broken the water lines several times. Our water situation was already serious and this did not help the problem. Mr. Daley's public apology did soothe ruffled feathers and I'm sure everyone felt better. Harold and Loma Peterson came from Henderson, Nev. to visit their mother, Fern Henderson. Other visitors were Golda Cottam and children, Escalante; Ned Henderson and family, Orderville; Mr. and Mrs. Otha Henderson, Cleveland, Utah and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Henderson, Loeandale. Nev. Fern's brother and his wife, the Earnest Gouldings brought her some trout they'd caught on opening day. The George Thompson family went to Henderson, Nev. to attend the reception for Riley and Rachael Peeples. They spent the weekend with Ann and Tom Reece In Las Vegas. Wellie and Ada Thompson went to Cedar City to see the j ! ' doctor. Alta Henderson returned home from Salt Lake City where she'd been visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Elmer went to Mt. Pleasant to attend the graduation of their grand- 1 daughter Kristina Moosman. Kristina and her brother came home with them for a week's j visit. On their way home they I stopped by Junction to visit I Harriet and Garth Elmer. Sunday, Howard Elmer and family of Cedar City came to take Ira fishing at Wide Hollow. They reported a good catch. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Evans went to Delta for Memorial Dav. ' Erna Mae Sutherland and Mae Dutton of Monroe, Rile Dutton of Payson and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Dutton of Panguitch visited with Mandy and Ariel Fletcher. S.S.G. James Henderson has just completed an advanced course for N.CO.'s at Fort Benjamin, Harrison, Indiana. Jim, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Henderson, finished fifth in a class of 13S. Thursday evening Kent Henderson met the airplane at Salt Lake City and brought Jim here to visit his parents. He will be here for 10 days before he returns to his station at the Army Military Personnel Center of Europe located at SchweUlgen, Germany. Mae Twitchell went to Springville, Saturday, to visit her sister, Mrs. Elva Shepard. Merwin Dunham of Dugway visited his mother, Alice Dunham. Alice also enjoyed a . visit from her sister-in-law, Dora Henderson and her daughter of Salt Lake City. David Mangum graduated at Bryce Valley High. He will attend Dixie College this fall on his scholarship. This summer he will be working for the park services. Howard Savage of Cedar City visited his sister. Lei da Dunham. Lark and Bea Reynolds went to Richfield to see his mother, Maude Reynolds. They took her to the hospital. The next day Nick Reynolds visited her and reported she was more comfortable. Lark Reynolds and small son. Cliff went fishing at Pine Lake. Cliff reported that they'd caught their limit but his was the biggest. Mr. and Mrs. Melvln Dutton were here this weekend from Fredonla. They took a load of furniture back to Kanab for Karen Sivils. |
