Show Winners At The Garfield County Fair LIVESTOCK WINNERS AND AWARDS The livestock awards this year at the County Fair were won by the following 4-H and FFA members: The 2 year old Hereford heifer was won by Russell Hatch; this purebred heifer was donated to the Fair by Konroy Henrie. The purbred gelt was won by LaMar Nay. and was given by Gary Orion. Jim Dodds and Horace Myers. The yearling Suffolk ewe was won by Kris Soper, and was donated by the Hatch Brothers Sheep Co. We would like to thank these men for the animals. Ihe littlng and showing contests were won In each division by the following: Fat Steers: Randy Hatch, 1st; Robert Crosby, Russell Hatch, 3rd. Sheep: Kim Soper, 1st: Randy Hatch. 2nd ; Mike Fran dsen, 3rd. Swine: Steven Talbot, 1st. LaMar Nay. 2nd; Richard Talbot, 3rd. In the livestock entries the following were first place winners in each division: Beef - Fat Beef. Robert Crosby; Hereford Bulls. Intermediate - Lucinda Alvey. daughter of the Melvin Alveys, Escalante. piano solo Jr. Division: Debra Henrie. daughter of the Earl Henries, and Fran Houston, daughter of the Grant Houstons. a costume tap dance. 2nd place Debra Henrie sang a solo accompanied by her ukulele. All first place winners will participate in the State Fair The five top winners there will participate in the State Farm Bureau convention in November. The top winner there will go to National convention in December.
