Roundy and his two oldest kids from Taft, California, the younger children and hi wife Heidi stayed in Salt Lake City so she could care for her mother who Is recovering from a broken knee. Ferrell hiked to the top of the hill overlooking the Valley and says It is the most beauUful sight of all. He and Vivian had attended the Escalante Reunion In Salt Lake City and said there are more attending each year and what a good time they had Ferrell said most of the Fatal ante people have left Taft, Ruby and Ardei. Woolacv are still there but pUn to move in the fall to Cedar City into a new home being built for them. Debbie Siple was among the ten finalists in the Miss '.uaho Falls beauty contest, was voted Miss Congeniality and received a trophy and some valuable prizes. The Smith Alveys had IJnda Lou and Jay Stokes home for over night : they have en apartment in Tooele and she started tea ching Hme Ec. In the Grants ville High School Dema Gates took Loyd to Cedar City to the eye specialist and he told him he could have eye surgery now or wait until fall, he decided to wait until the works all done this fall. Sherril Davis came from Montana and helped paint Twi-la Mclnelly's house, then took Mary and the boys back to get ready for school. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Oicott of Richfield visited Eldon and Amber Griffin. Visitors at the Melvln Alv-ey home were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Worthen of Panguitch, Rett and Christine Shakespear of St. George. In Sacrament meeting Sunday both wards met in the South ward chapel to hear two men from the Alcoholics Anonymous Assoc, In Cedar City; they were Fay Iv-orson and Layton Bently Saturday morning seven planes, some of them two motored, brought a group from Salt Lake City representing the State Aeronautics Association ; officials Bobbie Walker and Kel Blackenham, Engineer Harper Knowlton and other board members and some of them brought wives. Mayor Billle Davis and wife Minnie, town board members and wives. County Commissioner Dale Marsh. Judy Kelly and Pole Griffin, Caroline and Everett Williams, Dale Wilson who Is a graduate Aeronautic Engineer and Susan Shurti, Reed and WUmlrth Wooley, Earl and Nethella Woolsey, and If we missed anyone It was not intentional. There were around fifty present for the breakfast at Calf Creek park. The group from Salt Lake brought steaks and the local people furnished what went with them. Everyone seemed to have a good time and wanted to have a repeat performance some time. The Mollln Brothers came and took pictures. Some of our citizens won honors at the County Fair; Jan and Donene Liston, Helen and Lucinda Alvey won on sewing and get to take their outfits to the State, Lucinda also won on the Farm Bureau Talent show in the intermediate division. Earl Woolsey won a sweepstake on his water color painting of the old home, and Nethella won blue ribbons on her flowers. Louise Liston won on pottery. Alberta Liaton on bottled carrots and beans, Cal Porter on a colored photograph and Angela Brooks on needlepoint work, a bookcase and jelly. Hal and Myrna Barker and family are here from Salt lake City The Hode Alveys have Geneal and Blair Frailer and Kenny Pollock here from Salt Lake City; Arto Beth Pol lock, son Danny Joe and small daughter of Salt Lake City al so visited the Alveys LaRae Roundy and daughters Cheryl and Colette visited relatives here und in Boulder.
