Show Local and Society I SISTERS TO WED Miss Pal ma Shakespear Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Shakespear of Tropic announce the forthcoming marriages of their daughters Ann and Palma, to take place June 19th in the St. George Temple. Ann will marry Robert Thornton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis S. Thornton of Concord, Calif. A reception will honor them June 22 in the Tropic ward cultural hall. She Is a graduate of BYU and has fulfilled an LDS mission to Scotland. At present she is County Home Agent in Vernal. Mr. Thornton is a student at Weber State College, and a former member of the U.S. Army Green Beret group. The young couple will make their home in Vernal for the summer and then move to Ogden this fall. Palma will marry Roland B. Miles, son of Mr. an Mrs. Walter J. Miles of St. George. She attended Dixie College and BYU. Roland is a graduate of Dixie College and is at present enrolled at BYU. He filled an Miss Abb Shakespear LDS mission to the West Cen- I tral States. The young couple will continue their education - at BYU. A reception for the I couple will be held in the Tro- I pic ward cultural hall June 27. I TO WED J Miss Gloria Griffin Mr. and Mrs. Theron Griffin of Tropic announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Gloria, to Kirk A. Chy- -noweth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Chynoweth, of Tropic. The young couple will exchange vows in the St. George LDS Temple. Everyone is invited to attend a reception honoring the new-lyweds on Friday, June 26, from 8 to 11 p.m. In the Tropic ward hall. There will be a program and dancing. Kern Owens of Panguitch announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Susan, to Calvin W. All red, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wells Allied of OtheUo, Wash. The couple plan to be married in the Manti Temple on July Slat. Susan received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education and Child Development at commencement exercises at U-tah State University on June 6th. Calvin served an LDS Mission in Bolivia and has completed his junior year at Utah State where he is majoring in Political Science. They will nuke their home m Logan while Calvin completes his B.S. degree before entering the Service. TO WED Miaa Tanya WUeock Mr. and Mrs Gale O Wil-cock of Hatch announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Tanya, and J. David Christian, son of Mr. and Mrs J. D. Christian of Plalnvlew. . Texas. The young couple will be wed Saturday. June 20. at the St. George LDS Temple. They expect to make their home in Southern Utah and both hope to continue their college careers. AN INVITATION A wedding reception will honor the newlyweds that evening in Hatch from 8 to 10 p.m. There will be a program at 10 p.m. Everyone Is Invited to the reception. |
