Show To Celebrate 80th Hannah Daphne B. Smith will be honored on her 80th birthday at an open house on July 16, from 12 to 6 p.m. at her home in Circleville. She was born July 16, 1883 to Daniel King and Ellen Ann Horton Barton in Greenville Beaver County, Utah. She taught school in Greenville until she married Thomas W. Smith on October 16, 1912, the marriage was later solemnized in the Mantl Temple. They were the parents of four children: Scott Barton and Thomas D. A. Smith of Circleville, Mrs. John F. Chi-dester Sr. of Panguitch, Mrs. L. W. Neider of Parker, Arizona; there arc 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith has been active in church and civic affairs, having been a teacher in Sunday School, Bee Hive leader in MIA, Literature leader in Relief Society. She was president of the Circleville ward Relief Society and president of the Garfield Stake Relief Society. At present she is a Relief Society visiting teacher. She was president of the Circleville PTA the year that Piute High School was established in Circleville. The family invites everyone to call, no gifts please. |
