Show Two Deaths at Lehi. Lehl, Feb. 11, The funeral of Elizabeth Eliza-beth I'eiul Austin, who died Feb. 10 of general debility, was held from the local tabernacle this afternoon at 2 o'clock, .1 H Gardner presided, and tho following speakers testified to tho uoble life and splendid character of tho departed pioneers pio-neers Georgo Webb, D II Allred, Mark Austin and Prest, A J Evnus. Tho singing sing-ing was conducted by Jos. Klrkham, and the attendance was exceptionally large. Mrs. Austin wasorn in Buckinghamshire, Buckingham-shire, England, May 7,1829; married to James Pead In 1847; was baptized Into the Mormon church shortly after her marriage, mar-riage, she was the mother of five children, chil-dren, three sons and two daughters One son, Levi Pead, living In Randolph, Utuh.Hud one daughter, Sarah Arnold, llvlug In Murray, Utah, survive her. Mrs. Pead's husband died when her youngest son was 2 years old. In 1860 her eldest eon, William, camo to Utah, driviug an ox team from the MUsoura river to Silt Lake, Hu asklsted his mother moth-er and her four children to make tho journey In 1808. Mrs. Austin has forty graud-chlldren and twenty-three great-grand great-grand children Int. Mt. Republican. Yesterday at the Lehi Tabernacle, funeral fun-eral services were held over the remains of John Austin, husband of the lady mentioned above, Mr. Austin died Moo day Jn that city We were uuablo to secure an account of the services for thl' Issue. |
