Y'esterday morning's Dispatcit contained con-tained the following local item: AYhat was the consideration to be paitl for the deal by which the employes em-ployes of the P. L. M. & Co. were to vote the Republican ticket? Will the bosses of the G. O, P. inform the public? pub-lic? The item created consternation among all classes, as we naturally expected ex-pected it would. Loveridge being duly sworn upon oath says, thai he is foreman of the Provo Lumber, Manufacturing & Building Company, and as such has the management and control of twenty-five or thirty men, employees of the company. com-pany. To which affiant responded, re-sponded, "Have you any money?'' Mr. Coltrin says,"N'o, I haven't any myself, but I can get it." Affiant then said to the gentleman (?) "Do you mean that as an insult, because I take it as an insult in-sult to myself, and the company which I represent." After considerable parleying, Mr. Coltrin finding his efforts in vain, begged Mr. Loveridge's pardon, which was grant et I.
