Cha FERRON / BEAVER DAM Ariz.—Gregory Perry Snow, age 49, beloved son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and friend, returned to our Father in Heaven on April 1, 2009. He was born September 16, 1959 in Price, Utah to Paul and Emilee Snow. Greg was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to go fishing, hunting, and boating. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was not a shy person at all and was always up for a good laugh. He loved giving people a hard time, but only in the name of fun. He was a very proud father and an even more proud grandpa. Greg is survived by his mother, Emilee Snow of Ferron and Beaver Dam, Arizona; sister, Sheila (Jamie) Phillips of Orangeville; beloved aunt and uncle Marv and Elaine Garrett; daughters, Brielle (Clint) Broadhead and Courtney Snow; and granddaughter, Molly J. Broadhead. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul G. Snow; his brother, Ray Snow; and his nephew, Brandon Phillips. Graveside services were April 6, 2009 at the Ferron City Cemetery. Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary. “We would like to give a special thanks to all of his caregivers from the past few years. We love you dad!” PRICE-Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Joseph Antonio Cha, age 87, passed away peacefully March 31, 2009 while surrounded by his family. He was born May 27, 1921 in Kenilworth, Utah to Michael Angelo and Mary Pavignano Cha and then moved to Mutual, Utah where he lived for 27 years. After graduating from Carbon High School he moved to Berkeley, CA where he lived with his half brother John Scarci and his wife. Joseph worked at the Alameda Naval Air Station. About a year after World War II began, Joseph enlisted in the Army Air Corp. He attended basic training in Monterey, CA and was inducted into the Army Air Corp at Fort Ord on November 6, 1942. He was sent to La Junta, CO where he was a member of the 1007th Two Engine Flying Training Squad, taught army cadets to fly, and became certified in Engine and Airplane Maintenance. Upon completion of his training, he volunteered to go overseas. He was sent to North Africa on the USS America troopship. He was a mechanic and crew chief in the 90th Photo Recon Wing Third Photo Group Twelfth Photo Recon Squadro on the P-38 airplane. During his 2 ½ years overseas, he served in Tunisia-La Marsa, Sicily, Naples, Foggia, Arno, Southern France, and North Apennins-Po Valley. During his seven campaigns he was awarded the Silver Star and two Bronze Stars. He was also issued a Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Victory medal, and EuropeanAfrican-Middle Eastern Service Awards. When the war in Europe ended, he was ordered to go to Japan. After traveling on a Hawaiian shipper through the Panama Canal, his ship was notified that the war in Japan had ended. He was ordered to go to New Jersey. Upon arrival in New Jersey, his orders to report to Seymour Johnson Field in Goldsboro, NC were changed to Fort Douglas, UT, where he was discharged on October 4, 1945. After the war was over, he went back to the Naval Air Station in Alameda, but didn’t like the large city. He decided to return to Mutual and work in the coal mines. It was in Price that he met his wife Marion D’Ambrosio, who was the sweetheart of his life. They were married on July 29, 1953. Together they raised seven children. They also have eight grandchildren. He is a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Stella de America Lodge #77, American Legion Post #21, and United Mine Workers of America Local #9958. Survived by his loving wife Marion; children, Joseph, Wellington; Stephen (Pam), Wellington; Julieanne (Richard Wentz), Salt Lake City; Elena Hatch (Jack), Helper; David, Provo; Marianne Filbert (Randall), Battle Ground, WA; James (Jennifer), West Jordan; eight grandchildren, Mallorie & Christopher Hatch; Joshua & Stephanie Cha; Mandilyn &Samantha Cha; Katelen & Kaston Cha; two brothers, Fredrick (Vesta), South Dakota; Laurence (Vera), Helper; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents; half brother, John Scarsi. Funeral Mass was April 4, 2009 at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, 210 North Carbon Ave. Committal was at Price City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to the Notre Dame Building Fund, 185 North Carbon Ave, Price, Utah 84501. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home. Douglas Boyd Wright CLAWSON - Douglas Boyd Wright passed away April 1, 2009 at his home in Clawson, Utah, a few blocks from where he was born June 20, 1934. He was 74 years old. Doug was a BYU graduate, taught school for many years at San Rafael Jr. High in Ferron, Utah, and for a time was managing editor for the Emery County Progress. He loved spending time at the Manti Temple, talking about family history, and writing. Survived by: brother Lynn (Jean), St. George; sisters Mavis Whittle (Kearns) and Joan (Jeremy) Borrett, Millville; children: Kent (Juanita), Price; Darla Lamb, Eden; Lance (Evelyn), Ferron; Nathan (Peggy), Sandy; Eric, Garden Grove, CA; Jana (Glenn) McGettigan, West Valley City; Andrew (Dee), Salt Lake City; William (Bonnie), West Jordan; Spencer (Anne), Draper; Joshua, West Jordan; 23 grandchildren. Preceded in death by: wife Carolyn Knudsen; brothers Ray, Keith, & Lyle; sisters Ramona, & Margie; and parents Andrew & Bessie. Funeral services held in the Blue Hills Ward chapel Ferron, Utah, April 4, 2009. Interment was in the Ferron City Cemetery. Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Richard (Ted) Davies PRICE - Richard Edward (Ted) Davies, age 79, passed away March 29, 2009 at home with his wife of 55 years by his side. He was born January 9, 1930 in Delta, Utah to Ira Hillman and Ruby Day Davies. He married Janice Edith Roberts on October 10, 1953; they had three children, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He served proudly in the Korean War. He liked the outdoors, doing yard work, long walks and working with his hands. He liked to build iron and wood toys and yard ornaments. He is survived by his wife; Janice, children; Barbara (Butch) Olson, Rick (Sheri) Davies, and daughter-in-law; Carol Davies. He is preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, son; Dirk Davies, and a grandson. Funeral service was April 3, 2009 at the Wellington LDS 1st Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Wellington City Cemetery. Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Elizabeth Ciochetto HELPER- Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Elizabeth Jackson Ciochetto, age 95 passed away peacefully April 2, 2009 in Price. She was born March 4, 1914 in Ophir, Utah to Charles and Ellen Hall Jackson. Married Pete Ciochetto August 5, 1939 in Price. He died March 29, 1998. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking and feeding all her guests and visitors. She was a wonderful cook with the ability to take simple ingredients and turn them into a delicious meal. She loved animals and always showed kindness and compassion for homeless and injured animals. She was a joy to be around and always had a bright smile and warm hug for everyone she met. Elizabeth showed much selfless devotion to her family throughout her life always going above and beyond her duties as wife, mother, and grandmother to ensure her family’s happiness and health. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile. Survived by her son, Jeff Ciochetto, Helper; granddaughter, Bridgette (Stephane) Dupont, Castle Rock, CO; great grandchildren, Dylan, Jake, Emily Dupont, Castle Rock, CO; several nieces, nephews and a community of friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Pete; parents; brother, Jack Jackson; sisters, Olga Goodcell; Ruth Laramie; and several close friends. Ray Kremers PRICE- Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Ray Kremers, age 79, passed away April 2, 2009 at home while surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. He was born July 3, 1929 in Paris, Arkansas to Antone and Margaret Rotert Kremers. Married Barbara Sheffield June 30, 1950 in Hiawatha, Utah and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 30, 1967. Ray worked as a diesel mechanic at Hatcho in Woods Cross, Utah, and later worked for Plateau where he retired in 1992. After his retirement, Ray spent as much time as he could fishing with his special buddy, Jacob. Ray is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; children, Bonnie (Ralph) Sharp, Herriman,Vickie (Roger) Thomas, Ferron, Bruce (Peggy) Kremers, Huntington, Donna White, Price; “daughters”, Brandie (Shawn) Martinez; Amber (Trenton) Christiansen, both of Price; brother, Henry (Bertha) Kremers, Kansas City; sister, Delilah (Ken) Hughes, Holden, MO; sisters-in-law, Renee (Chad) Cram, Kanab, Shirleen Jankowski, San Leandro, CA; 11 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gerald Kremers. Funeral service was, April 4, 2009 at the Price 11th LDS Ward, 300 West 500 South. Interment was in the Price City Cemetery.
