Show A4 • WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2008 Ttf S Covering what matters most Scouts Missionaries Alan Morris Bushman McCall Ashby Sister McCall Ashby has recently returned from the Philippines Manila Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sister Ashby is the daughter of Garth and Kay Ashby, and the granddaughter of Jon and Carol Beck and the late Gerald and Phyllis Ashby of Spanish Fork. She will give a report of her missionary labors in sacrament meeting on Dec. 14 at 9 a.m. in the Meadow Lark 1st Ward at the Spanish Fork East Stake Center, 870 and family are invited to atEast Canyon Rd. All friends tend. Spencer A. Melander Spencer Melander has recently returned from serving a full-time mission, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Argentina Resistencia Mission. He will speak on Sunday, Dec. 14 at the Salem Stake Center, 470 East Canal Rd., Salem at 12:40 p.m. Spencer is the son of Eric and Nancy Melander. His grandparents are Lena Leinweber of Pleasant Grove and the late Al Leinweber and Verrion Melander of Gilbert, Ariz, and the late Nona Melander. Taft Morley Alan Morris Bushman has been called to serve in the Argentina, Buenos Aires South Mission. He entered the MTC on Dec. 3. Alan is the son of Rilla and John Hawkins (Spanish Fork) and Steve and Jolynn Bushman (Idaho). His Grandmothers are Freda Leckie (Heathstone Manor, Spanish Fork) and LoisJBushman of Provo. His farewell was Nov. 30, 2008 in the Crosswinds 1st Ward. Alan is the last of the Bushman children; Amy, Brian, Cindy, David, and Eric (now serving in Ja- pan) to serve a mission. We are proud of his decision to serve and wish him the best. Justin J. Reynolds Elder Justin J. Reynolds has accepted a call to serve in the Paraguay Asuncion Spanish Speaking Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He will be speaking Sunday, Dec. 14. In the Salem Knoll Park Ward, at 11 a.m. Located at 160 South 460 West in Salem. He will be entering the Provo MTC on Dec 17. Justin is the son of Wade arid Debbie Reynolds. His grandparents are La Vear and and Shauna Mitchell, Don Kaye Reynolds, Frank and Barbara Wood. Max McKay Jacobson Elder Taft Morley has recently returned from the Colombia, Bogota North mission and will speak in the Spanish Fork 3rd Ward at 9:0(5 on Sunday, Dec. 14. He is the son of Mike and Krystin Morley and the grandson of Ray and Sandy Morley of Spanish Fork and Lynn and Lynette Poulter of Woodland Hills. Home away from Home Elder Max McKay Jacobson returned home on Dec. 5 after serving an honorable mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Uruguay, Montevideo Mission under President' Fred H. Ashby. Max is the son of Blair Jacobson of Payson and Debbie Jacobson of Sp Fork. He is the brother of Amie Jacobson Steele, Tyler, Garrit, and Alex Jacobson. He is the grandson of Coey and Jean Stickney of Spanish Fork and the late Bud and Darlene Jacobson of Spring Lake. Max wilL be reporting on his mission on Dec. 14 at 9:00 A.M. in the Payson Loafer Canyon 4 bedroom home. Incredible scenery with mature trees, furnished and Immaculate. Gated community offers Heaven on earth. Only $400,000. Cail 798-6816. Dallin R. Jack and Ryan E. Christensen received their Eagle Ranks at an Eagle Court of Honor on Nov. 16, 2008, Salem 4th Ward. Dallin, son of Allen and Laurine Jack, organized and painted fire hydrants and curbing with assistance from troop members, family and friends for his proj- ect. Ryan, the son of Craig and Soofie Christensen completed wooden cars for the Toy Factory with fellow scouts, neighbors, friends and family helping. Ryan received his Eagle rank on, the same date as his father did in 1981. Congratulations to these outstanding scouts! Young Women Jennifer Huntsman Jennifer Huntsman received the Young Womanhood Recognition award on Nov. 16,2008. Her bishop, John Logan, presented it to her at the Canyon Pointe Ward Night of Excellence. She is the daughter of Doug and Ken Huntsman of Spanish Fork.
