Under the direction of Mr. Rick Lunt the choirs sang at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the South Visitors Center, and lastly in the phenomenal acoustics of the Assembly Hall. The Spanish Fork High School choirs perform at Temple Square every year, and, for many students, it is one of the most beloved concerts. A senior enjoying her last Temple Square recital, Whitney Dixon, said it was "an ultimate synergy moment. There's something magical about being with so many people who have the same feelings you do — feeling each other and the song." Mr. Lunt was able to bring some of his own feelings to light through song. About his experience. Britni Gibbs SFHS The Spanish Fork High School Drama department directed by Skye Cummins put on a Christmas program on Dec. 13-14,2007, featuring the Musical Theater class and the Drama 2 class. They put together a program with meaning and inspirational messages, with songs such as "I'm Sending You a Little Christmas", "Angels Among us", "Angel's Lullaby", and many others. The Musical Theater class was able to set the mood of each scene performed by the Drama 2 students. One scene was about the "Christmas Shoes" where a little boy buys some shoes for his dying mother with the help of a kind stranger. After the scene was performed, the MT class sang the song to help tie it in for the audience. Another scene was a reader's theater version of the all-time children's classic "The Grinch". Afterwards a trio sang the famous song from the movie "Where Are You Christmas?" The songs and scenes fit together like a glove. "I felt that it went well," Natasha Newman said, "And it taught a very important lesson: that ordinary people can do extraordinary things."
