Conversely, the hair standards at BYU are tougher than many universities' admission standards. Furthermore, the Provo campus grass has likely never seen the underside of a sandal. The universities employ different learning styles and therefore produce different students. Many at the U feel as though diversity1 and open-mindedness are paramount. A quick glance at the U's website clearly outlines this fact. Last year, nearly 2,800 of U students—13 percent—were students of color. Our faculty- and administrationsupported Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center is ever-present and involved on campus. The Religious Studies Program at the U is supported by 13 different programs and includes courses on religions originating anywhere from India to the United States. The U's greek system is constantly expanding, including a number of fraternity and sorority chapters associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
