Show Jk Pres, and Mrs. Sherman Holden Hibbert Seven New Mission Presidents The First Presidency has issued calls to seven more to serve as presidents of missions of the Church. More will yet be listed. New presidents and their fields of labor are listed on Page 3. PAUL L. PEHRSON Paul xJttle Pehrson, owner of Pehrsons Stores in the Salt Lake area, has received his ci1' to preside over a mission of the Church. He will be accompanson. ied by his wife and a Pres. Pehrson has served on the high councils of three stakes, Park, Wilford and Valley View, and also as bishop of Valley View 6th Ward. He has served the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce and the Sugar House Rotary Club, as well as a director and one of the owners of Granite National Eank. He was born In Pleasant Green, Salt Lake County, June 9, 1908, a son of Nels Frank and Estella Little Pehrson, ar.d was educated in Salt Lake county schools. He married Ruth Elisa Ellofscn in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 27, 1933, and they have seven sons and daughters. d Mrs. Pehrson was born to Elias and Johndina Ellefson in Chicago, 111., Sept. 10, 1911. She has served ui various executive positions in ward Primaries and at present is secretary of the Valley View 10th Ward Relief Society. Hil-lan- EUGENE C. LUDWIG SHERMAN H. HIBBERT Eugene C. Ludwig, president of the Grant Stake of Salt Lake City the past 13 years, ha been called to preside over a mission of the Church by the First Presidency. Pres. Ludwig, who resides at 1236 Lorraine Dr., is sales manager of Cummins Intermountain Diesel Sales. Mrs. Ludwig will accompany him to his new field of labor. Sherman H. Hibbert, Salt Lake attorney, has received his call to preside over the Brazilian Mission from the First Presidency. His wife and three children will accompany him to his new field of labor. He was born in Bountiful, Utah, Feb. 9, 1910, a son of Eugene C. and Maude Howard Ludwig. He attended the University of Utah and married the for- mer Lola Banks of Salt Lake City in the Salt Lake Temple on Oct. 19, 1932. They have three sons and a daughter. He has served as bishop and as a counselor in bishoprics as well as on the high council of the Palo Alto Stake. Mrs. Ludwig was born in Logan, Utah, April 4, 1910 to Benjamin Frederick and Hilva Johnson Banks. She has been active in the Church serving in ward and stake positions in all the auxiliaries. Her most recent assignment was on the Grant Stake MIA board. She is director of volunteers at LDS hospital. U Pres. Hibbert resides at 163 E. 2d South in Kaysville, Utah. He was born in Boise, Idaho, June 25, 1933 to Eugene Mills and Agnes Kroker Hibbert. lie was graduated from Brigham Young University and received his law degree from the University of Utah. He also studied at University of Idaho. k r He married Jo Ann Long of Brigham City, Utah, on Aug. 26, 1959. She was born in San Francisco, Calif., Oct. 10, 1938 to Marshall M. and Ella Anger-bauLong. She also studied at the University of Idaho and was graduated from Brigham Young University. She formerly taught school. er Pres. Hibbert has a long career of Church service. He is serving presently as teacher trainer in his Kaysville Ward. He also has helped write several manuals used in the Sunday School.
