The new series is tentatively titled To Rome, With Love. In it, Forsythe portrays a recently widowed Midwestern college professor who has three young daughters. He takes them to Rome to live. Hence, the title. His contract calls for him to shoot the whole series in 14 weeks a year, yet he gets paid for a full years work. This arrangement is not unique with Forsythe. Fred MacMurray has the same deal with My Three Sons and Brian Keith has it with Family Affair. I only have to work until Nov. 1, 14 weeks from the day we start shooting the series, he said during an interview. If I work on the series later than that, I will be paid extra.
