Show The Summit County Bee May 21, 1999 Traek amid On May 1, the North Summit Track wu the scene for a fun day of track and field events beginning at 9 am, with- students in grades 3 through 8th, bom North Summit, Park City and Morgan joining in. Winners of the events received traditional medals of gold, silvfr snd bronze with each participant receiving ribbons. The meet wu very successful and everyone seemed to have a great time. As with most events, having great volunteers made the program a successful endeavor, with the money raised being used to help North Summit's track program. Marla Garfield is being credited by thou involved for masterminding the event and seeing it carried through to fruition. Winning the third grade girls in the 30 meter event were: Chelsey Garfield, Amy Donaldson and Kelli Stuart. In the 100 meter event: Chelsey Garfield, Amy Donaldson and Katelynn Judd. 200 meters: Chelsey Garfield, Sami Wamick and Kelli Stuart. Causa Matthews won the 800 meter event. Amy Donaldson, Ali Smith and Heather South won respectively in the Javelin competition with Ali Smith, Katelyn Judd and Heather South winning the Shot puL The long jump wu won by Chelsey Garfield, Amy Donaldson and Jesse Buchoz. Officer tryouts were also held. Each girl who tried out had to choreograph her own dance that wu one and a half minutes long and perform it in front of the judges. Members of the Livestock B team were: Pete Lym, Jenna Keyes, and Misty Brooks. The Dairy judges were: Eric Brown, Cole Pace, and Alex Keyes. And Poultry judges were Christiane Downard, Heath Givan, and Kimberly Robinson. The Dairy judges were proud to bring borne a third place plaque for all their hand work. The dubbouse was crawling with teams from the South and abo those from the Northern part of the state.
