Rooevelt Scholarships and cash awards donated The designation of Sterling Scholar is a much coveted one for students who want to continue their education to prepare them for a career, and there is a little financial help from the district and Utah colleges to help them along the way. Duchesne County School District awards each Sterling Scholar winner a cash award of $500, and each runner up will receive $250. Utah grants full tuition scholarships to the regional winners, and Every college in nearly all of them offer either full or part tuition scholarships to runners-u- p who apply for them. Utah universities also jump at the chance to offer scholarship incentives to winners. "Brigham Young University and the University of Utah both offer full scholarships, and many of these are renewable if students leave school for missions," said one school counselor. - 722-988- 0 Western Land Reality 72 W Main.
