"Bike (Bonnie) Shiner, Altonah, UT; Tamara (Clay) Frandsen, Linden, UT; Verna Joy (Richard) Hutchison, Lake Jackson, TX; and Maurine (Keith) Burdick, Ephraim, UT; also by 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and her brother Doug Miles, and sisters; Bernece Atwood, Violet Lott, Altamont; and Mona Miles ofOgden; and Veva Clegg of California. Inez Miles Shiner I. Shiner Funeral Services were bald fYj. Jan. 9 fin- - Inez Shiner. She passed away Monday at Stewarts Cedar Crest Care Center. Inez was born Nov. 23, 1920, to Olive and Edgar Miles in ML Home, UT. She graduated from Altamont High School and also beauty College. She married Lloyd D. Shiner, on June 19, 1940, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Steamboat Springs and later moved to Altonah, Utah, where they bought a farm and raised their family of six children. They ran a daily farm and Lloyd worked as a Carpenter for many years. Inezwas always a great support to her husband and family. She was a hard worker and had a talent for cooking. They retired and moved to Ioka in 1974. Lloyd passed away, May 22,1990, just 3 weeks before their 50th wedding anniversary. Inez lived in Ioka until her health failed, and she moved to Stewarts Care Center in Roosevelt in March of day, 1996. She was a strong person and had a unique sense ofhumor. She loved visiting with people and no one ever went away from her home without being well fed. Inez will be especially missed by Friday, Jan. 2, Rush Loertscher was taken by ambulance to the Uintah Basin Medical Center in Roosevelt where a diagnosis was made indicating a blood clot in his lungs. He was given treatment at the Medical Center- before being transported by ambulance to the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City, at 2 a.m. His wife, Shana Lee and son, Kurt drove to the hospital the following day to be with Rush. Sunday they were joined by Jackie and Samantha Mart Kurt and Jackie returned home that evening. Rush will require hospitalization until his blood is stabilized. Shana Lee has remained with him. Saturday, Jan. 3, Guy Gardner was baptized by his foster father, Larry Brittain, in the Altamont Stake Center. The following day, Sunday, he was confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Da- y Saints by Bluebell Ward Mission leader, Udell Winkler. A special friend, TTieron Burton and family attended the baptism as did Elders Elliot and Mason. Baptised by her grandfather, Marion Meeks was 8 year-ol- d Nicole Cook, daughter of Sherwin and Sandy Cook. She was confirmed by her father, Sherwin that night, Jan. 3 following her baptism at the Altamont Stake Baptismal servie-- Monday morning, Jan. 5, Marie Lusty Roper died in a Grand Prairie hospital in Texas of pneumonia and causes incident to age. She was bom to pioneer parents, Robert Salmon and Clara LaVerna Murdock Lusty in Duchesne, then Wasatch County Feb. 2, 1912. She moved to the area at the time of her marriage to Verl Genoa Roper on the 22 of May 1936. She is survived by three grandchildren, Louise (Kelvin) Fitzgerald, Vance (Kendra) Roper, and Vint and wife; thirteen great grandchildren and three sisters, Lois Horrocks, Barbara Gilbert and Sybil Peel. Memorial services were held Friday , Jan. 9 in the Altamont Stake Center in Altamont at 2 p.m. Interment was in the Bluebell Cemetery by her husband, Verl who died March 22, 1995. Monday morning Jan. 5, Cleona Remington slipped and foil at her home which resulted in a fractured hip. She was taken to the Uintah Basin Medical Center in Roosevelt by ambulance. On Thursday, Jan. 8, she had surgery to have pins placed in her hip. Last year she had a similar accident with the right hip bone being fractured. It was the left hip this time. Tuesday evening, Jan. 6, John L. Lisonbee died at ids home in Bluebell of Congestive heart failure. His pioneer parents, Leonadis and Mary (Beryl) Merrell Lisonbee came to Bluebell in 1908. John L. was born in Bluebell in October of 1914. He married Myrle Allen, August 17, 1936 in Duchesne. They had two sons and a daughter. Myrle died on March 2, 1979. On June 30, 1979, he married Iola Dudley in Bluebell. John L. is survived by his wife, Iola and by his three children and spouses, Larry (Melody), Michael (Mary), and Mary Lee (Jeff) Stevenson. He has many grandchildren and great grandchildren who survive him. He is also survived by his older brother , Shelby, and youngest sister Florence Williams. Memorial services were held in Altamont Utah at the Altamont Stake Center, Saturday, Jan. 10 with interment in the Bluebell Cemetery. Velma Monsen was home for a few days last week returning to Kearns where she will stay as she has Zoh Spencer - 353-45- Jan. 4th in Neola 2nd Ward Sacrament meeting four babies were blessed. The infant son ofMark and Stacy Bertoch was blessed by his father and given the name ofKorby n McLaine. Proud grandparents are Stewart and Cheryl Olsen and Merrill and Carol Bertoch, after meeting the Bertoch family met at Merrill Bcrtoch's home for lunch. The olsen family met at Bishop Stewart Olsens home for lunch. The daughter of Howard and Natalee Luck Madsen was blessed by her father and given the name Taylor Lee, Natalee is the daughter of Lance and Maureen Luck. Dorothy Luck of Vernal a great grandmother came to attend the blessing ofher 6th great granddaughter. After the meeting a group of family and friends met at the Neola Elementary school for a luncheon. The infant son of Audrey Roberts was blessed by his great grandfather and given the name Blaine Max Roberts. Audrey is the daughter of Lana Warren Roberts. After the meeting the Warren and Roberts families met at Max and Alice Warrens for dinner. Mida Breanne Jackson a daughter of Mindi Wilkerson and Casey Jackson was blessed by her great uncle Cal Jackson ofVernal. Mindi is the daughter ofMichael Wilkerson and the granddaughter of Kenneth and Colene Wilkerson. After the meeting the family and friends met at Kenneth Wilkersons home for lunch. Linda Southam from grandJunction Colorado, a former resident of Neola came to attend the blessing of Mindi Wilkersons baby Mica. Gerald and Coralie Henrie travelled to Provo, Christmas Eve and spent the night with a son. Wendell Henrie and family. Christmas day they had lunch with Geralds sister Sherene and Jay Whiting in Sandy, UT. Irene stayed with her daughter Sherene until Sunday, Jan. 4.
