Friends and relatives are invited to attend the open house, in their honor, that same evening in the Lapoint Ward church. Special Interest party Nov.. 14 The Special Interests of the two Roosevelt Stakes win hold a pot luck dinner and program Friday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Roosevelt West Stake Center. The Sixth and Seventh Wards will be the hosts for the meeting. Bring your own utensils. Betts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest E. Betts, Jr., Roosevelt, have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage. The couple will be married Friday, Nov. 28, in the Provo LDS Temple. An open house, honoring the couple, will be held the evening of November 28 in the lapoint Ward LDS Church. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the open house. Karen is a 1972 graduate of Uintah high schooL She has attended Provo Tech and Brigham Young University in Hawaii The bride spent three years in Alaska and is presently employed at Century 21 in VeraaL Lynn graduated from Union high school in 1972 and from Ricks College in 1978. Iynn is presently a 'student at Utah State University. He served an LDS mission in California. The eouple plan to live in VernaL U Standard Fourth annual Holly Fair scheduled for Dec. 5 4-- 7-- dary schools in Duchesne and Uintah School Districts, will also be featured. in the community is Everyone encouraged to come and participate hi this festive gala which helpa promote the Christmas spirit in the area. The Holly Fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. If anyone in the community would like' to participate on the program or reserve a booth for the fair, please contact Beverly Evans or Keith Bergquist at the Uintah Basin Area Vocational Center by Monday, The fourth annual Holly Fair is scheduled at the Uintah Basin Area Vocational Center Dee. 4 and 8. There will be a Disney movie for the children as well as several short feature movies. Santa will msltf his annual visit along with some other special guests. There will be over 60 booths set up where people will be selling baked goods, homecraft items, Christmas decorations, and other related items. The business of the dub, which included some changes in the proposed s, was taken care of first and then Dave Harraway, a mud engineer for Magcobar spoke to the group of members. Mr. Harraway explained why mud is used in the drilling of wells, why mud is weighted and the various properties of drilling mud.
