REIGN OF CRIME outlaws try to run the new town ol 01 sparks nevada bert richardson and E F hewl were made victims of five highway men at sparks nevada monday night the men were held up separate each time the robbers relieved their chims of the r valuables alu ables and then beat them richardson was so badly beaten that he was unconscious for three hours and when found was nearly dead later lewis succeeded in identifying two of his assailants as a man called and another man named oscar bridges by this t me the people of sparks were thoroughly aroused and were organizing a party to lynch the men when the officers spirited them av ay to the county jail at reno there has been a re agn of crime in the new town for the past few weeks and and his companions are blamed for the deeds
