remarkable STROKE AT GOLF wonderful feat reported from the north of scotland talking of unique happenings in golf here Is a miracle from tent lous ious clanny in the north ot of scot land the tale runs A most remarkable not to say miraculous stroke at golf was made at cluny castle on monday on the nine hole course recently made by sir reginald cathcart just outside the castle walls mr matthew best an employed at the castle and a fellow servant were playing from the fourth hole when the former drove the ball into the fifth hole it being a rough sort of a course with abundance of long grass a boy was stationed to watch the balls he called out that the ball had gone into the hole but mr best thought at first that the lad had meant a rabbit rabbits s bur row the boy was well within sight of the players and never nearer to the green than thirty or forty yards until joined by them the ball was duly taken out ot of fifth hole in the presence of all three the distance of the drive was afterward paced and found to be about ninety two yards mr best it may be men cloned has been forty five years in service cervice at cluny castle golfing
