Show f The National Enterprise, August 24, 1977 Page Medical Development sues Medical Development said it is seeking $5 million in damages for breach of contract from American Hospital Supply Corp. of Evanston, Illinois. According to Medical Development, American Hospital entered into a ten year contract with the com- pany starting June,1972, which provided that American Hospital would distribute Medical Developmentsline of aspiration collection canisters. The twenty-thre- Commerce e De- partment reported last week that corporate profits increased 11.4 percent in the second quarter over the first quarter. Medical Development said it filed suit last week in Federal Court in Salt Lake City, after American Hospital sent it a notice indicating its desire and intention to terminate the contract effective Sept. 20. Kennecott declared its regular quarterly dividend of 15 cents payable on Sept. 19 to shareholders of record on Aug. 30.
