New York "We're taking a lot of money from the taxpayers in this country to buy Jewish votes. Speaking for myself. Im tired of it. The country deserves better, wrote John Prince, in The National Enterprise. Oct. 20, 1976. If one were to peruse the history of the world for the past 2000 years, that quote or something similar would have appeared in every generation. It was used to stir up the populace so they would forget their real enemy andor their real problems. They the Jew is had only to remember: responsible, the Jew is the scapegoat. People havent changed much in 2000 years, but one would expect more from a man of the caliber of Mr. Prince. Mr. Princes contention is simple and clear: the Jewish vote can be bought and Jew's intentionally will harm the interests of the U.S. May I remind you, sir, that Jews have been on this continent since Columbus landed, and in the colonies since 1654 (New York). They fought and died in the service of this country and have donated hospitals, museums and other charitable institutions far out of proportion to their numbers. They L but Arab oil does.) Are you then prepared to put American Jew's into crematoriums? Or have created new businesses e. g. Hollywood, excelled in music and the arts e.g. Gershwin, contributed great scientific minds such as Einstein and have been leaders in many other fields which have contributed to the growth of the U.S. Do you mean to say that the American Jew, 4 of the population, paying approxiof the taxes, doesnt have the mately 10 democratic rights, as well as every other American, to lobby where his tax dollar goes? Doesnt the giver, at least, have the more mercifully, concentration camps? You could have a very equitable trade: 10 million Jews for 10 million barrels of oil - 230 million other Americans would benefit. As you should wrell know, this is not an outlandish possibility: the 1930s and 1940s bear testimony to it. But, what happens when the Arabs decide on the next group they dont like e.g. the Mormons. Thats not too far fetched cither. Mormons may still remember their forebearers experiences in 19th century New York and Illinois. And the Moslems are not too fond of Christians. Take a look at Lebanon, or even Saudi Arabia where no Christian church is permitted and where Black slavery was still extant as late as the and other same right as the welfare-nik- s takers? Others may lobby for our tax dollar to go to Africa, to Communist Vietnam, to the Blacks. That is their privilege. Are you telling the Jews alone to abandon their brethren? Surely, if you are intellectually honest, your next article will then condemn the PLO lobby, the Arab lobby, the oil lobby, etc. As you mentioned in your column, 40 of our oil is imported and it certainly is disgraceful. I dont care to go into our bankrupt energy policy at this time; however, I must ask this question: Are you saying that we must accept Arab dictates for our domestic and foreign policies because we are heavily dependent on their oil? (Israel doesnt really count - we well know - . 1960s. The Arabs have thrown the entire world economy into chaos with their control of the oil supply. Despite the trillions ripped off from the world, including the "poor, deprived third world, the U.S. continues to supply them with financial aid in the form of appropriations and grants. While the Arabs arc milking the whole world, we are supporting their poor. And you have the Continued on page twelve |
