Kichens 1st counselor and William M. Fausett. 2nd counselor. Max lVatross wax retained ax ward clerk and Chirk Roberts ax Axxt. clerk. Stake president, Alva C. Snow and counselors Arvin Iicllnn and Merrill along with high council members, attended the reorganization of the ward. Marvin Leon Itoss was released as bishop; Leo II. Maucter as 1st counselor s and Newell A. as 2nd counselor. The rites were held last Wednesday evening. Dave Thomas Durhcsne, was honored at a retirement dinner in the Green Room of the Frontier Cafe in Roosevelt Thursday night, Nov. 8, marking his retirement front the State Fish and Game department after thirty one years service. He was accompanied by his wife Ruby. Gordon Harmston of the state legisla- ture presented an award from Governor Hampton to Mr. Thomas. Joe Kemp of Ml. Home was a speaker and a photo album with mementos of his thirty one years with the department was given by the northeastern division. Attending and representing various districts were the Director of Fish and Game and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Ihclps, the Assistant director and his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith, Mr. Al Ileggvn and the northeastern regional supervisor, Mr. Clair Huff. Other personnel of the northeastern region there were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jeffs of Castle Dale. Lloyd Stevens represented the easli n region and Bid Clark came from St. t.orge. There were approximately 120 guests present. With the exception of one brother unable to attend. Mr. Thomas' brothers were all present for the special occasion. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Vcrn Bromley of Duchesne; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thomas of Tabiona; Mr. and Mrs. Alden and stake officials all helped turn the first dirt at the site of the new Moon Lake ward building on the highway south of Mountain Home. Construction is to begin immediately. MOON LAKE AT WARD--War- d Groundbreaking s held for ward buildings at Tabiona and Moon Lake Goundbreaking rites were held at the sites of two new LDS ward buildings in Duchesne stake during the past week, as kwal leaders moved to 'update church facilities. Tabiona ward and Moon Lake ward will both begin construction immediately on the new structures. The groundbreaking at Tabiona was held last Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. A large group of members were on hand, as well bs stake officials, to gel the project underway. Following a short program, the Tabiona ward bishopric, under the supervision of Bishop LaMonl Moon, manned the shovel to turn the first dirt on the project. Thomas Fahrizio, a member of the slake presidency, represented stake officials and commended the people for their plant. The contractors, Gunsighl Construction Co., have 390 working days to complete the building, but they estimate that the building should he completed within one year. Work will start this week. The Moon take ward building will cost $303,000, plus, SliU.OOU in furnishings. The ward now has some $83,000 in the building fund, which represents approximately half of the lix-a-l share.
