Utah's general fishing season will open June 1, 1974. and run through November 20. The Wildlife Hoard set the season at their annual meeting on the Utah State University campus in Isigan. Few changes were made in fishing regulations. An eight trout limit remains effective on most waters. However, the tributaries of Strawberry Reservoir have been inrluded with the reservoir as wa ters from which only six trout andor brook trout in the high Uintas were removed berauM the Hoard felt that an excessive fish harvest was being obtained in those waters. Then is no limit on hluegill. bullhead ratfish or white bass. In addition, there is mi limit on rrappie except in Garrison and ('unlock Reservoirs where anglers may lake only ten. Waters that will rkise in 1974 will include Huntington Creek downstream from the new electric dam in Fmery County: the Oak Creek Reservoir in Garfiekl county; and Like Canyon take in Durhesne county. Fishermen ran again visit minersville Reservoir next season, after its one year rkisure due to rhemical treatment to remove undesirable sicrira. Two sierirs have been added to I hi endangered species list and their removal from Utah's waters will require written IHTinission from the Division. They an the bony tail chub and the Virgin River spinedarr. Whitefish season was extended to Ap ril 30 on portions of the Weber Hlack smith Fork. tagan and Durhesne Rivers.
