Reynolds Floy Floy Otis Reynolds, 76, Vernal, died November 4. in a local hosiital of natural causes. He was born February 2, 1897 in Franklin, Kansas to Walter and Mattie Able Reynolds. He maried Hilda Merk-ley- , Feb. 25, 1926 in Whitrrorks. It was LDS later soloinized in the Salt Temple. He was a farmer and a former employee of the Showalter Garage in Vernal. He was a veteran of WW 1. Survivors include his widow, sons, daughters, Floyd M., Mrs. Lyle (Elma) Holmes, Mrs. Oran (Marjorie) Hunting, all of Vernal; Hiram E Aurora, Colo.; Sgt. Charles E. Lukes, AFB, Aria.; Mrs George (Margaret) Wiggins, Stockton; twenty three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, mother, sisters, May Davis, Pearl Pelerseiley, all of Kansas. The funeral was Thursday, Nov. n. in the Glines ward chapel. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park cemetery. tery. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Olpin Mortuary. Bishop George Man gan, officiated and read the obituary. Jerry Larsen offered the family prayer and prelude and posllude music was played by Elaine Hullinger, accompanied by Barbara Hamblin (violinist). Musical numbers were sung by a trio, Nanry Carter, Shirley Milletl, Noreen Kolierls. Ixsinard Ferguson was the speaker. Clay Frandsen offered the benediction. Jerry Iairaen dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Jerry Iarsen, Jess Lirsen, Bryan Wall, Eric Neilsen, Floyd Workman, Blaine Hardy. The Roosevelt 1st ward Relief Society was in charge of the flowers. Burial was in the Roosevelt city ceme- Lynn Chapoose Funeral services were held Monday, November 12 in the Handlett LDS Branrh Chapel for Lynn Chajioose, 19, of Ft. Durhesne, who was killed in a pickup rollover near Soldier Summit. He was born November 8. 1954 in Roosevelt to Conner Nannatz Chapoose. He attended Granite high school in Salt Lake, where he was active in sports. Survivors include his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Barry Richards, Salt Lake; brothers, sisters, Roberts, Granger; Haskell, Billy, both Ft. Duchesne; Ernest L, Elberta; Mrs. Charles (Marietta) Reed, Mrs. David (Gertrude) Willie, Ina Lou Chappose, Mrs. Kenneth (Nataline) Santio, Mary Sue Serawop, all Ft. Duchesne; Mrs. John (Lorena) Martin, Schruz, Nev.; Nancy Moya, Vernal; grandmother, Minnie Nannatz, Ft. father, Ben G. Dye, Salt Lake; grandson, brothers, Ronald, Seattle; Gerald, Roo- Valene D. Galley sevelt. Roosevelt died November 8, in Roosevelt. She was born August 9, 1934 in Roosevelt, to Richard G. and Maise Dye. She married Dale Marion Galley, July 22, 1954 in Elko, Nev. Survivors include her husband, son, daughter, Stacey, Vaktrie Jean, all Roosevelt; parents, Redlands, Calif.; grand- - Ward chapel, Monday, November 12, 1973. Pallbearers were Ed Ysck, Blaine Hux-forEinerson, James Milligan, Terry Belton. Steve Steven Pitt, and The family prayer, at the mortuary, was given by Ronald Dye. The opening waver, was given by Paul Bird, prelude and postlude music, was furnished by n e. Albert Dietrich AI" Semken. 85, Gusher, died November 7, in a Roosevelt nursing home of natural causes. He was born March 26, 1888 in Brooklyn, N. Y., to Charles Henry and Mary Swansbeck Semken. He married Frances Syrena Parkinsen, Mercur, Colo., she died June 20, 1957. He was a farmer, retired. Survivors include his sister, Dorothy A'Antuono, West Point, Fla.; grandchildren. nieces, nephews. The funernl was held Saturday, Nov. 10, in the Ballard LDS ward chapel. Burial was in the Roosevelt city song, was sang by Keith and Eloise Adams, accompanied by Elaine Hullinger. Speakers were Lynn Labrum, and Ralph Shields, there was another song by Adams, Eloise and Keith They were sgain accompanied by Elaine Hullinger. Remarks were given by Bishop Frank Madsen. The closing prayer was given by W. L. Brisbin. The grave was dedicated by Douglas Lawson. Rachel Ann Hadden Powell Pilling, 97, Duchesne died November 5 in a Roosevelt nursing home of natural causes. She was born April 7, 1876 in Joseph, Sevier County to William and Annie Rhodes Hadden, she married William James Powell in 1892, the marriage was later solomnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1903. She married John Pilling, he died in 1929. She was one of the Duchesne County's pioneers. Survivors include sons. Dean Powell, Duchesne; Roy Pilling, Salt Lake; 8 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, brothers, Jes, and Dean, Price. The funeral was held Friday, Nov. 9, in the Duchesne LDS Stake House.
