Verl Roper, Walter Remington, Oscar Nelson and Bruce Goodrich. All are in the Alta-mo2nd ward. o The Wallace Seeley family drove to Salt Lake early Saturday morning, Nov. 3, to take Kaye Seeley to enter the mission home. They returned home Sunday evening. Then on Wednesday the Seeley's drove bark to Salt take to see Kaye board the plane for East California where he will spend the next two years serving on an I,DS mission. The Bob Fieldsted family went to Salt take Saturday, Nov. 10, to take Brent to the mission home. He will leave Thurs- o trip and wedding Mr. tnd Mrs. Jack McArthur returned last week from Woodbridge, Va., where they attended the wedding of their son Greg and Sharon Greenwalt on Nov. 3. While there they were guests at the Greenwalt home. Enroule they visited Washington. D. C. Among points of interest they visited the White House, Pentagon and Arlington Cemetery where they watched the changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier and visited Senator and President Kennedy's graves. Peggy Echer and Alden Whitehead will marry in the LDS Manti temple November 17. Socialette club meet, discuss business and report COUPLE PLANS FOR Socialette club met Thursday night at the home of Mrs. Dennis Jenkins. Mrs. Gerald Ilicken and Mrs. Larry La brum were A short business meeting was conducted by president, Mrs. Ferrell Crazier. Mrs. Don Mantyla gave a report on the Christmas party. A salad luncheon was served to members and guests. TEMPLE WEDDING Peggy Sue Echer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Echer of Price, announces her engagement and forthcoming marriage to Alden Whitehead, son of Mr. and Mrs. William 0. Whitehead, Roosevelt. Peggy is a graduate of the College of Eastern Utah, and has attended Utah Stale University. She is presently employed as a hair dresser in Price. Alden graduated from Union high school where he excelled in athletics, he was all state in track in high school. He was on the track and basketball team at CEU and is on the track team at the University of Utah, where he is attending school at the present. He has served an LDS mission in Sweden. The young couple are planning a Nov. 17 wedding in the Manti Temple. There will be a reception in Price November 17 and an open house in Roosevelt at the home of Charles Whitehead, November 30. to honor the newlyweds. 500 club meets 500 Club met Saturday evening, Nov. 3. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Moon, Duchesne. Those present were the Jim Cowans, the Ron Robbins', the Robert McGhee's, the George Conns', and the Jim Kalloch's. High score was won by Terri and Jim Cowan, with low score going to the Robert McGhee's. At the dose of the evening. a dessert was served. Mary Woodward celebrated her 87th birthday, November 6 at the home of her daughter in Myton. Mary Woodward Dale tarsen visited with him Sunday. Mrs. Vona Houlz spent the weekend in Provo visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. I). Roper. Ford tarsen injured his knee when a scuffle he was working on broke. He was taken to Salt Lake to the hospital. Mr. ami Mrs. Clair Larsen and Dr. and Mrs. Presbyterian Church Regular worship services at the Myton Community Presbyterian Church were held Sunday, November 11, under the leadership of Gay Lincoln of Central Christian Church in Salt Lake. The speaker chose a communion theme, stressing feelings of participants. Mrs. Sue Linroln sang a contemporary hymn with a Hebrew tone. Flowers on the altar were in memory of the late Orville Dart, his wife Gladyes who was a long time member of the church and their son Bill. Their daughter Mrs. Ruth taigh of Salt take, represented the Dart family at the services. J. D. Walker, Roosevelt, will be the speaker for November 18, with plans to have a Presbyterian minister for the Nov. 25 services. Members of the rhurrh board will meet at 10:30 a.m. on November 18 on church business. r, Cheri and Rue, Ferrell Crazier, Jim Bryce Moore, Charles Jenkins, Phil and Terry Brotherson attended the Golden Spike National livestock show in Ogden over the weekend. Michell, Cheri ami Sue participated in it. Forty five family members met at the home of Mrs. Minnie Morrill Nov. 11 for a dinner and to visit. Those from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Barnes and family, Bountiful; Mr. and Mrs. Lyn Morrill, Jensen and also some from Ver- nal. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Michie and son and Clarenre Mahoney and Micand David, Granger, Mr. Paul Lemon, Dutch John ami Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Cook, Provo were all guests of Mr. and Mrs. James over the weekend. They also had guests from Vernal. Attending the birthday cckbralion was Mr. and Mrs. Charles Woodward and sons, Mrs. Mable Muney and George Yeager all of Vernal; Ida Davis and son Duane and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Winn and children and Mr. and Mrs. tarry Dye and girls. Mrs. Woodward was born, Nov. 6, 1886 in Garfield. Utah. She married Charles A. Woodward, Nov. 21, 1904 at Jensen. A few years later they moved to the Bain. Her husband passed away in 1957 at the age of 80. She is now making her home with her daughter, Ida Davis in Myton. She is the mother of four children, fourteen grandchildren, 35 and nine great-grea- t KTlh day. Nnv. 15, for the Missouri Kansas Mission where he will serve for two years. Henson of Ventura, Calif., have been hero visiting with their son and his family. Roger Benson is working with the B & B Company on construction and moving oil rigs, operating a crane. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Miles are the parents of a baby boy born Monday, Nov. 5 in the Duchesne County hospital. Grandarents are John Goodrich, Bluebell. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Miles, Mt. Home ami great grandmother, Mrs. Olive Miles, Mt. Emmons. At Stake conference in Duchesne two weeks ago, Donald Bolton was released from the Stake high council and Leland Bruce Goodrich was sustained as an alternate to the Slake high council. Sunday in Sacrament meeting, L. Bruce Goixlrk-- was released as 1st counselor in the Altamont 2nd ward bishopric and Bernard Udell Winkler was sustained in his place. The bishopric in the Altamont 2nd ward now is Paul Bird, Bishop, R. Udell Winkler and Kent Remington as counselors. Ronald Miles and William O. Larsen as clerk. Also in Sacrament meeting on Sunday, Elder Edwin Hartman remrted his mission. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Hartman, whom also both talked. The nieces and nephews of Edwin sang I am a Child of God". A large crowd was in attendance.
