Carl was a neighbor of Nelson's years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Maurel Taylor motored to Salt Lake July 24 and picked up their daughter Marlene at the Air Post. Marlene marched with the Kearns band in the days of 47 parade. Taylors visited in Mugna with her brother Allen Crosby and in Smilhfield with their son Ron and Marilyn. Joy Ijirsen from Salt Lake spent the 24th holiday with her parents, the Jim farsens. Barbara and Delmar Hamblin and for the 24th of July parade. This years, Girl Stater's will ride on it Thursday evening. For Saturday morning, a special guest will be Miss Bunnie Eyre, Logan who is Miss American Legion for Utah, and for the four corners area. Members will be contacted in the near future for 1973-7dues which are $4.00 and can be mailed to any of the new officers. July 24, the Oscar Ray Richens family reunion was held in the Uintah canyon. Fifty one members were present for fun, food and visiting, including local families and the Ralph Hatch family, Ivan Hall family, Charles Ray Richens family, all from Vernal. H. L. Buck family from Mt. Emmons. Mrs. Loene Nelson and children, Salt Lake, spent the weekend with her father, James Powell and left here Monday for North Carolina to visit two weeks with her sister Janice Bradshaw. e Margaret and Gail Loranger motored to Della, Colo., Friday to attend a family reunion. It was the Duane and Jennie Shawl reunion held at Shirley's and Jim Edwards. Other family going from here were Glen Loranger and Lyn Boren and Duane and Mary Lee Boren and ehldren. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Anderton and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Boren of Monlwel, are grandparents for the first time, since their children, Mr. and Mrs. Kim Anderton became the parents of a 7 lb. baby boy, born July 30, in the Duchesne County hospital.
