Show Lakeside Review, Tuesday, May 8, 1990 15 BHnaaHBmnDHnmMHnnHMi Lakeside CHS will play pop music CLEARFIELD The Clear-fiel- d School Music DepartHigh ment will present A Pops Extravaganza'' May 9, 8 p.m. in the school auditorium. Contemporary sounds will be performed by the CHS Percussion Ensemble. Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble. The percussion ensemble will combine with the CHS Dance Company to perform the percussion ballet. UHURU. In addition to the more traditional percussion instruments, the ballet instrumentation features sound objects of brake drums and tuned steel pipes. The dance is choreographed by Lisa Bingham. Lena Anderson, and Justin Clarke. The Wind Ensemble will perform from the pop genre, James Bond Suite. The suites numbers include. The Bond Theme, Live and Let Die. For Your Exes Only" and Goldfinger. Selections from Man of La Mancha include Little Bird. Little Bird, Dulcinea, Man of La Mancha, and The Impossible Dream. The Wind Ensemble will conclude with Mars; the first movement to Gustav Holsts The Planets." The Jazz Ensemble will perform the Les Hooper composition. Power Source. Joining the ensemble for two compositions is vocalist Suzie Chapman. Featured soloists through the evening will be Ed Webecke, Stacy Stamm. Mat Devol, and Eddy Graham. Mini health fair to include free tests BOUNTIFUL Lakeview Hospital is inviting the community to take advantage of a mini health fair on Thursday. May 10 from 4:30-- 7 p.m. as part of the commemohospitals week-lon- g ration of National Hospital Week. Free blood pressure checks, lung capacity screenings, foot evaluation and body fat measurements will be offered, and cholesterol tests will be given for $5. Experts also will be on hand to discuss stress, alcohol and drug abuse, good nutrition.
